I wonder how they will handle the veteran player limit. My guess is the revolving door of the reserve list will be spinning quite rapidly. I would not want to be the one to have to decide on who to cut should a cut have to be made. In my opinion there is one forward and one defenseman on this team that may be feeling a bit nervous right now.

Blake,
I always struggle remembering who the Veterans are ! Can you list them ? Clarke is a good veteran signing a playoff performer and can win faceoffs also

To throw another monkey wrench into the gearbox, Im guessing Petryk or Muers will be sent back soon also. The Avalanche just made a number of trades with San Jose. They are stacking them deep in Cleveland.
Aaron Clarke is a great pick-up. Lets hope he gets in game shape asap.

Aaron Clarke quickly became one of my favorites last year. As sorry as I was that he decided to retire, I am equally happy that he is coming back.
Someone above stated there were two veterans probably a little nervous. But I don't think so. If I am thinking of the same players, well one is a defenseman and the other is a forward who would never be let go.
Two things here. 1) They can maneuver around the veteran rule as long as they can play the reserve game and stay under the cap. 2) Until the NHL trades settle, Lake Erie, Texas, and Utica rosters will be up in the air. Who knows for now?
I know that Stollery ( defenseman for Lake Erie and Colorado) was traded so I don't know how that will affect Leach. I just hope we don't lose anybody else.
But this is the ECHL and I'll just have to wait until Friday to see who's here.
Nice job by David Franke to keep in touch with Clarke and find a way to bring him in.

Not knowing the cap situation.....
They won't have to do any maneuvering until/if Crowder comes back... He's a vet and on IR...

Everybody is worried about call-ups right now but I will say it again. Last years Cincinnati team should have taught everybody that it doesn't matter what happens in the regular season. Make the playoffs and hope your affiliate loads you with talent and you have a shot to win the thing. You just have to survive the regular season roster moves. If we get everybody back this is our potential 23 man roster:
Starters: Mike Embach Shawn Szydlowski Eric Faille Matthew Pistilli Paul Crowder Brett Perlini Garrett Meurs Mitchell Heard Jean-Michel Rizk Arron Clarke Joey Leach Cody Sol Gabriel Beaupre James Martin Mikael Tam Drew Daniels Pat Nagle Roman Will
Reserve:
Christian Ouellet Ian Barteaux Kaleigh Schrock Reid Petryk C.J. Severyn
I know I wouldn't want to face that team. Left Krug off because with the vet limit you have to cut somebody and we know Schrock isn't going anywhere.
