Word from Kalamazoo, is they has a "Polar Bear Plunge" at center ice...and the pool leaked, ruining the ice.
Tomorrow's Wings game with Indy is suspect too

The K-wings should reimburse the Komets in some way for the inconvenience.

Toledo is behind Reading (Sunday afternoon game) 3-1 with about 8 minutes to go. It sure would help if Toledo dropped that game as it would "eat" up one of those games in hand.
The Will injury seems a little sketchy as no one will comment on what happened or the suspected length of time away. Hockey injuries are like that, aren't they. If this is going to be for an uncomfortable length of time, I'm wondering if the K's would consider Jeff Wyer. He is eligible to be claimed on waivers from Wheeling. It seems there must be something about this as I'm sure they've put him on waivers before. He's played 2 games with a GAA of 2.00. You'd think somebody would give him a shot and if Will is gone for awhile (and Nagle also) it might be nice to have someone with some ECHL experience instead of an emergency and SPHL goaltender. (Although I'd like to see Murdock get his chance, I'm not sure I'm real comfortable with him being the go-to guy in the net).

According to hockeydb, Murdock has just as much experience at the ECHL level as Wyer does. I'd say Give Murdock a chance.

Eric, you're right. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying "cut" Murdock. Not saying that at all.
What I'm saying is that if Will is going to be out for an extended length of time, and with Nagle gone, I'd bring in Wyer.
To depend on Murdock (as your #1 goaltender) would be a little risky, I think. That's why I'd bring in Wyer. He's got a couple of games in, has had pretty decent stats wherever he's played, and could be someone to share the load. Can't do that with Saalfrank.
Everything is based on what has happened to Will and when/if he comes back.

Thanks to the polar plunge I'm guessing?
