Combs gets a hat trick in his first Cyclone game (this year).
Good thing that he isn't a basketball player as he has "traveled" so much.
Komets are going to need to contain him AND solve Madore.
The team has done a great job of not allowing losing streaks to take place. I think that in order to win the division, there can be no more stumbles. We all know they lost a marvelous chance to get two points back on Toledo. I just think that the "game in hand" will be the killer. The Komets play at Cincinnati while the Walleye host Evansville. You've got to believe that Toledo will handle Evansville at home, so tonight's Komet game is huge.

...and one more thing. If my memory is correct, Toledo has gone something like 8-1-1 in the last ten games while the Komets have gone 6-4.
The standings, today, reflect the difference in those two facts. Hard to keep up with any team going 8-1-1. I think the Komets are playing with their strongest roster of the year. The quality of their goaltending is so very strong. They have four forwards with at least 20 or more goals (plus another two who are closing in). They have always had a nice collection of defensemen and they have a nice blend of skill and toughness (both on defense and up front).
With Crowder starting to skate again, and barring any repeat of his ankle injury, it only makes for an even stronger team.
I hope that starting tonight each line attacks the net. I hope that each player looks to shoot more than looks to pass. I'm confident that the defense will continue to block shots and sacrifice for the team.
I'm wondering if Coach Graham will stabilize his lines even more starting with tonight and continuing for the next couple of weeks.
This is probably nothing more than crying over spilled milk, but doesn't the situation make you wish they would've played Toledo a little more and Kalamazoo a little less? It seems to me like it begs for a little bit more of a balanced schedule between division opponents. I'm not sure how that could hurt.
Go K's!

Thanks Blake 4 pointing out that it happens again. .the opponent scores in just slightly more than a minute. ..just like last night...maybe they need 2 concentrate on keeping the puck out of the net 4 at least 2 minutes or more..unbelievable again!

Why oh why do we let the opposition skate in 2 almost the top of the circle before we challenge them..it happens all the time. .Cincinnati stands us up at the blue line..despite what I just heard

thats been my biggest complaint all year. the only d man who constantly stands people up is krug. the rest let the guy skate in and take a shot. why would you take a chance and let a guy shoot???? i dont understand that at all.
