I said the format of this series would determine the winner. If the Komets win tonight they will close out at home tomorrow. The chance to close out at home against a rival is invaluable.

As the Komets have only scored 3 goals in the two Huntington Center losses, one would love to see a Nagle ( I'm assuming it will be Nagle) "gem".
So, to me, it's defense first and convert on any mistakes given you.
Everybody is saying all the right things. Now it all has to translate to action on the ice.
This team is good enough to do anything it sets its mind to doing. The whole 60 minutes.
Just finish the game in alphabetical order.

Penalty kill wasn't good
Power play is just plain awful
Defense was bad
Offense was fair
Physical game was none existent
Goaltending was not good
Just a plain bad game.

Was there a full moon last night?
I took a moment to look at the score sheet. Kind of odd. 1) Every Komet was a plus or even. 2) Only two Walleye were a plus, and five were a minus. Yet Toledo won 3-2. 2) It shows Schrock scored the goal not Perlini. 3) It shows Lerg played 59:53 ( he didn't get "pulled" so what happened to the other 7 seconds). 4) Heard only had one shot, Embach had two, Pistilli had two, and Faille had four.
Since the blog is for opinions, I'll state mine.
Totally agree that Barteaux needs to sit. The opinion is just based on his play (I have no idea about any injury to others that may be keeping him in the lineup).
Again, this is just my opinion, but penalties and too many passes plus passing up shots have hampered the Komets the whole season. I have a hard time believing that they can just turn off these bad habits like a light switch.
If Schrock "called out" his team, then good for him. I hope they can start playing an "ugly" game. I don't need beautiful plays, I need great scoring chances.
The team needs for Faille and Pistilli to get going. Graham has the last change today so maybe he can work something to benefit them.
The team has scored ten goals in the five games. This is one reason why I always am "harping" on getting more snipers when recruiting and during the season.
I think I'd stick with Nagle today. If the Komets would have stayed out of the box, the score may have been 2-1 komets.
