Awesome news! Being selfish, I really wish they would send Roman Will back to us. He will be a superstar one day. Hope the next two seasons work out as well as this past one. Way to go, K's!

Awesome news! Knowing they're sending us quite a few players, we can really focus on signing three more vets and getting a another solid goal tender. Really hope we sign a few more guys off our qualifying offer list but whatever happnes I am sure management will take care of filling the needs.

I think most everyone agrees that this is a good thing. I'm hoping that Leach is healing well and can, once again, be sent to Fort Wayne. On the same note I'm hoping that Szydlowski is doing fine and will also be part of the Komets plans. Time to get both Martin and Daniels under contract.
Now the K's can guarantee some tryouts in the Colorado camp. Nagle should be one. Faille should be too.
Things should start to heat up.

Can someone verify that Joey Leach was Colorado property? I thought he was just Lake Erie contracted on a two way AHL-ECHL contract and not contracted with Colorado.

Lake Erie on a two-way. Most of the players who get sent down from AHL tend to be free agents rather than NHL-contracted players.

Very glad to see news of the affiliation and looking forward to another couple years of the partnership.
From the Colorado side I can tell you Meurs, Beaupre, Heard and Will were NHL contracted players. Colorado chose not to renew with Heard but the other three are still under contract. If Will isn't the goalie that comes down then I expect Spencer Martin, very talented kid that was drafted in 2013. Not much news yet on who they signed to AHL deals.

Realizing that player announcements are made sporadically throughout the off season, two qualifying offer guys and one veteran (not a qualifying offer player) have been signed.
Looking forward ( and hoping) that, on defense, Martin and Daniels are signed. Also hoping that Leach will be back. With Kucera and Sol those three would make for terrific start on the blueline.
Offensively Sivak, and to some degree, Dean Ouellet are a good start. Perlini, who I have liked from the beginning, is solid.
Goaltending will be an issue if Nagle does not sign, but I'm sure that the Franke's have it all under control.
Personally I'm rooting for the K's to sign some real good young players. I'd like to see this year's team have more passing skills and better faceoff results. Will the Franke's keep one veteran spot open to use later in the year, or will they go into camp with four? What do you all think?
From the history side of it all, it's interesting that the K's are aligned with two old IHL foes: the Colorado/Denver Rangers and San Antonio. (Thinking on it, I guess it's the same as last year with the Colorado/Denver Rangers and the Cleveland Lumberjacks). Also, Colorado has signed ex-Komet coach Dave Farrish as an ass't.

Ouellet IMMEDIATELY steps up the K's game in the faceoff circle. He was BY FAR the best faceoff man on the team, the second half of the season when he was here and THE best...on either bench...in the two playoff series' that year.
Supposedly a good leader in the locker room too. VERY glad to see him back...could be a BIG piece of the puzzle.
