Adding insult to injury

Anything here jump out at you?

INDIANAPOLIS -- The friends of two elderly men found dead in their southwest-side home on Monday said they believe the men were killed because they were gay.

Milton Lindgren, 70, and Eric Hendricks, 73, were found dead Monday morning in their home at 9160 Middlebury Way.

If not, you must be one of those whippersnappers still on the right side of 50. "Elderly" includes 70-year-olds?

I'm getting old enough to where 60 now seems too young to qualify as "elderly" but young enough that 70 seems like a reasonable start for the term.

Just wait. And stay out of my yard in the meantime.

Safe to say, 70 is not nearly as old as it used to be.

If its any solace I see more and more older people hanging on and playing sports (volleyball, softball...) to an older age and still playing fairly well for that matter...

Since the National Center for Health Statistics lists the average live span to be 77.8 years. wwhat WOULD you call a 70 year old? Middle aged? Back to grade school kid.

Depends. (If you don't recognize that punch line, it has to do with Bob Dole being asked the same question MTV asked Bill Clinton.)

But, seriously, folks. I would call that person Bob or Jane or Fred or whatever. "Elderly," like "whippersnapper," is more a social construct than an age.

Leo ...

I am six months from 70 and I am not elderly ...thank you very much. I am not even retired.

My imagination is somewhat strained, however, when envisioning two guys over 70 engaged in sex acts.
