Tailing the Komets

After the first

Two Komets goals may win this because Kevin St. Pierre looks very sharp early. He's coming out to challenge Rockford shooters on everything and is controlling his rebounds. One time the puck from a long shot landed on the side netting and the goal judge turned the light on, the fans celebrated and the horn blew, but Frenchy never even flinched.

Somebody said there would be 19 shots at the first period and the IceHogs have 10 and the Komets 9, thank you very much. Man, I have to get a life. LOL.

A.J. Bozoian looks very good so far in his first game, and Mark Lindsay might end up being the Komets' best defensemen in the series.

The Komets are doing an excellent job defensively because they are keeping a third forward high in the offensive zone. That hasn't hurt their offensive chances too much and it has really helped their team defense.

What happened to Robinson? We should definitely win this game now....Dickie?

Are we playing 5 on 3 everytime Big Snake, Mizzi, and Johnson are out there? It sure looks like it. That line is killing us.

Scoops is right! Those three are making it look easy. Frenchy really didn't have a chance on at least two of those goals.

Frenchy's off. Has everyone forgotten kurk's performance the las two games of the season. He earned the satrt in this series and should have had it.

I agree Brian...St. Pierre should have been pulled after the 2nd goal...We are coming off the best 2 games of the season last weekend. Why are we looking so bad right now...Did we get to confident, are we missing Neumy..They need to get it together soon or we will be playing golf sooner then we want to. Lets go guys, were is the fire we had last weekend.

Kurk? Surely your joking. You Patrick Roy in net for Fort Wayne and it wouldn't be much different. Our defensive support has been terrible.

So much for the talk about the Komet's not needing to worry about a team with big-tough forwards. We are getting crushed. We can't match their style of play. Where have we heard this all year?
The same things that have killed this team all year are happening in this series so far. No one taking bodies in front of the net and giving up the puck in our own zone for easy looks. This has been the chirp all year...and it continues.

Backup goalie goes in and we can't get anything going at all. That is a shame. 11 goals against...pitiful.

I hope that things change and we battle the rest of this series out, even though things look bad so far. The offseason ought to bring us the same old dialogue as every year...we will be looking for big tough forwards and defensemen. Once again!?

St. Pierre should NOT have been pulled, his forwards should have. He played very well, but no one DID A SINGLE THING in front of him. This is as bad as the Komets have looked all year. Frenchy was the only thing keeping this from being 10-1. And forget about Kurk. The way Rockford is crashing the net, his rebounds would be in back of him in about half a second.

maybe pulling frenchy would have made the other players think that they are stinking up the place...it surely lite a fire under Rockford having a new goalie in the game.
