Another law that would be ignored

An Arizona lawmaker has another new way to deal with illegal immigrants:

A Paradise Valley Republican thinks she's found a way to let state and local police round up illegal entrants — make their presence in this state the crime of trespass.

Sen. Barbara Leff said her legislation would finally give police the legal tools they need to stop, question and arrest or deport those who cross the border illegally.
Every gimmick they come up with is just one more admission that they're not doing what they're supposed to be doing. Just being here is the crime. Redoubling efforts to keep illegal immigrants out and being committed to sending them back when caught are the only solutions. I hate to keep beating the same drum but, you know, take the law seriously or get rid of it.

Amen.

We need fewer laws and we need to enforce the ones we have.

Consider this, Allen County has 6995 outstanding arrest warrants today. Admittedly, some of these are for silly things like code violations; but, it is still a lot of outstanding arrest warrants.

Lets enforce our existing laws before we make new laws...
