Blake, do you remember the game in the mid to late 90's when we played at home against the Cincy Cyclones in the IHL Playoffs when Pokey Reddick (in net for Cyclones) was nearly killed by Steve Fletcher beside the net when he came out to play the puck. He must of laid on the ice for 25 minutes before EMS drove him away off of the ice. During the whole delay, both teams fought tooth and nail the entire time as fans threw anything they could get their hands on, onto the ice. I can't exactly recall the year, but the trivia question I have is:
Who was the back-up Goaltender that came into the game when Pokey went to the hospital?

This is a game that I will never forget!

Joe Franke?

No, way off on that guess. Joe's nickname is 1-0 Joe. That one win came 2 years ago.
The guy that took over for Pokey for the Cyclones was a high profile guy at the time.

How about Ray LeBlanc?

Ray Leblanc. I remember Terry Murray trying to psyche Pokey up by showing him a replay of that play over and over and over, and ended up Psyching him out. Komets opened the series at home even though Cycs had the home-ice advantage because of a building problem here, I think.

BTW. Chase has been on the air for 53 years. 52 on WOWO. Remember in I want to say 1986 or so they were on WBTU for a year.

OK, another one. Who was before Chase and why did he leave?

Ray Leblanc is correct. That game is one that I will never forget. I had my brother and sister from out of town that night to watch that game with me. We talk about that game every time we get together. The good old days!

Before Chase was probably Chris Schenkel? Not sure if I spelled it right?

Not Chris Schenkel

This one was probably too much of a stretch. The answer was Ernie Ashley who left in mid-53-54 to move to Louisville because he wanted to do basketball.

I don't know how old he is but I know he has stayed about 5 years too long. Before everyone gets all swelled up take a minute and listen to the broadcast. You can't tell me he hasn't lost a whole lot the last few years. I love Bob as much as the next guy, but how about some fresh blood.
