Any baseball fans here?

The Northeast Indiana Baseball Association will honor two former Major League players, a longtime coach and two members of the local media during induction ceremonies Nov. 11.

 

Retired players Rob Bowen and Ben VanRyn and longtime local sportswriter Steve Warden will be inducted, and former Concordia coach and current Wildcat Baseball League official Jack Massucci and News-Sentinel assistant sports editor Don Converset will receive special awards.

 

The 6:30 p.m. event will be held at the Classic Cafe Catering and Event Center, 4832 Hillegas Road. Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased by mail at NEIBA, P.O. Box 12733, via the organization's website at neibaseball.org or from NEIBA officers Jim Shovlin, Tim Kindler, Don Graham, Marge Graham, Jack Massucci, Isabel Alvarez and Dona Schaefer.

 

Former Major League pitcher Ned Garver will be the keynote speaker.
