Tailing the Komets

Anybody staying up to watch this Game 7 OT

How much fun is this?

I still think maybe the two most fun games I've ever covered for the Komets were the Game 7 overtimes I saw. Bawa to Kaminski to Loach and Guinn to Goodwin. That's all that needs to be said and everyone knows exactly what I'm talking about, right?

Do you realize how incredibly blessed we've been to two a pair of Game 7 OTs? Most fans never get to see one in their entire lifetimes.

As for the Komets-IceHawks series, I could very easily see this going seven games, especially if the Komets don't get their power play going. I caught some grief from some folks for saying the IceHawks had the better special teams during the finals preview, but even I didn't think there'd be this much difference.

Did anybody else notice how quiet the coliseum got tonight? When it was 2-1, it was like this was a crowd at an exhibition game. The players weren't too thrilled about getting booed at home, either.

This game has been beautiful blake! This is just a battle of the goalies. Woo.

On our side. I cannot fathom booing the Komets. Who ever does that should be banished from our arena (unless they are fans of the other team. they are fine) People booing will not make our players want to work any harder.

They shouldn't be banished, but kicked the butt maybe. Some of the stuff I heard Komets fans saying to the players in Port Huron after the game last night, I was surprised the players didn't lay out some beatdowns right there. No class.

Obviously that's not all Komets fans, but some of these folks seriously need to get some perspective. It takes all sorts.

it's been fascinating. I'd love to be in the locker room just to see what they are doing to get fluids in. Are they eating anything? How many guys are getting their skates worked on? I wonder how many guys have to rework some sticks? Pokey would have changed clothes about seven times now.

HA HA that is great about Pokey. Blake who ever said you don't like hockey, staying up past two am proves to me that you do have a soft spot for this game that some of us love so much.

I'm trying to hustle and get the Game 4 preview done during the intermission. LOL. Might as well get some work done at the same time.

What a game, too bad it had to end on a power play. Congrats to the stars. Lets go Penguins and Komets.

Last night's game was amazing to watch. I am a Rangers fan so I had very little invested into the game, however I could not turn off the TV. I too am sad the game ended with a PP goal, but San Jose had their chance in the 3rd OT. That game is what playoff hockey is all about.
