Bait and switch

So, a leftist group posted some video maliciously edited to make the mostly white Tea Party appear racist. That was followed quickly by a righty blogger posting some video maliciously edited to make a black Agricultrue Department employee appear racist. All the race-baiters are represented now, and the expected camps are saying the predictable things about the usual suspects. The Anchoress has about as good a take on the whole thing as anybody, mainly that race in this country is a complicated and still touchy issue, and all people who causually toss around the racism charge do is reveal their "own tawdry cynicism."

There is absolutely nothing simple about the matter of race in America; there is a ways to go before content of character will finally overcome color of skin. But I am not sure if further progress toward a truly color-blind society can be made until the manufactured cry of “raaaaacism”

That infiltrator was engaged in a pretty nasty tactic, kind of like the guy who produced the fake anti-ACORN "documentary."
But do Tea Partiers really not know the difference between a swastika and an iron cross?
Just jerking you chain, man. I agree. Both sides should knock it off.
But if I may pick one nit, it is this: I had never seen the fake Nazi guy before. I watch MSNBC, and they never ran it. Fox News, on the other hand, peed all over itself over the faked black racist video. Every one of their commentators, both news and opinion, jumped all over it. You know it because you (I assume) watch Fox. They are unique among the various news sources in that they make no attempt to be objective or even honest. At least MSNBC, unquestionably liberal, sticks to the truth and admits its mistakes.
There's news, and there's propaganda. "Fox" and "news" don't belong in the same sentence.

Hey, "small-place-to-take-a-pee", MSNBC "sticks to the truth"??? You mean, "sticks to the liberal line", don't you?
And just what "fake documentary on ACORN" are you spouting about? The item was "created" using actors - but it sure wasn't "fake"! And what "fake Nazi" guy are you talking about?? You don't believe that the Black Panther guy was real in his diatribe about killing crackers and their babies? What planet are you living on - it sure isn't the earth! And help me out - just when did MSNBC ever admit they had reported something wrong??
