Ya know. I bet IF we manage to take a lead, we will see more calls on the komets.. think of the toll these calls make on the players.. both mentally and physically. . hard to overcome after a while......
Can you imagine what they would call with a 2 ref system? Some of those calls have been very suspect at best. THe only legit call was on Rodgers..
Hawthorne was terrible too. We won 7-2. The Komets can overcome crappy officiating.

Then they might want to quit taking so many of them. The calls to me have been pretty obvious scoring chances on or near the FW net for the most part. Komets have not driven the net at all except on O'Connor's goal. That's when penalties get called.
This has felt this way the entire series, but I am now certain that the referees were instructed to influence this series. I've seen refs be inconsistent before, but nothing like this. Incredible.
I can see it now, Hoberg and Hawthorn both on the ice. Now that would be a pretty sight. Twice the penalties on the Ks.

Give me a break.....I have always defended the officiating, knowing that we are all a little biased toward our own team, but it is pretty darn obvious what is going on here. It's time that someone of influence challenge the league on this! I am glad that we will probably not be back in this league. Give our kids the same chance as everyone else. They have worked to hard to have an official decide their season.

David Franke's on the radio right now with Chaser. He's not happy about the officiating and can't believe PH got two 5 on 3's in a row. He doesn't think they are calling the game fairly. Calling stuff on us but nothing on PH. He says call it one way for both sides. Sounds familiar...huh?
Guess we have a different definition of marginal, then. I haven't seen anything called that hasn't been pretty consistent with the way it's been called the rest of the series. IceHawks are being more aggressive going to the net, Komets are not. It's as simple as that.
Well if we can win this period you can bet game 7 will be Prison Rules!!! That is what will drive me nuts is for 6 games they will make all these calls and then all of sudden they will put there whistle in their pocket

if it was called both ways i would be aggravated with all the calls, but at least not feeling like we are being cheated out of a game. can you imagine if every marginal call was made?? oh my goodness.. would never be a 5 on 5..
