I'd just like to be the first to say....
AH-HA!
Blake, can you tell us what happen at the game that both Robinson and Bouchard got suspended. Can't find anything in the local writeup for that game.
This should be helpful in our journey to our fourth straight Huber Cup
Franke stuck it to musky & that is what they get for leaving the FHL.
verbal abuse, robinson pulled down & labinski scores winning goal. cry-baby musky.
My question is, why weren't they issued any misconducts then?
Yeah, no kidding. How is it verbal when they weren't even ejected from the game? Plus it must have been some wicked verbal abuse to get suspended for it.
They were having their hissy fit after the game winning goal in OT, so no ejections... Misconducts would have proved what? All thats really needed is the officials report at that point, right? Maybe Mr. Schebig can fill us in on that...
I was told the grabbed or pushed the officials in someway. Having hurd Bouchard cry and bellyache and knowing just how well he speaks english. I am sure the words didn't get him much. Touching the officials will get you all you can handle. On a personal note: It could happen to more deserving guy. I guess he figured out that the "Prison League" (his words) is for real. You just don't mess with the guards.
Chase said they chased the ref down the hall and into the officials room.
Oh, this is too funny. Flint has Olnyk listed as "New Player" AGAIN! :D
The Gens really controlled play in the first period. Thanks to a couple PP's for the K's the shots make it look like it was alot closer... K's d-men are getting caught flat-footed in the D zone and the only reason there is no score to this point is because Boucher has stood on his head several times to make saves, including 2-3 very good chances for the Gens in the first minute of the period. K's looked really bad in the first 5 minutes getting caught on several occasions making lazy passes. The K's seemed to perk up a lil after the first PP....
Second period underway...
K's just got a gift PP... They need to capitalize here...
K's 0-4 on the PP so far...
If they chased them into their locker room then I think they got off easy.... Wow
Gens score to take the lead 1-0...
Rheaume's 15th of the season that boucher got a lil of; but had just enough to get into the goal...
K's back on the PP....
Couple of big saves by Nolan so far on this PP... K's 0-5
1-1 on a goal by schrock....
Chaulk going off for elbowing in the offensive zone...
BTW, Chewy got leveled by Boudreau after his penalty was up that the Gens announcer even said was a really late hit... Chewy didnt look like he could tell you what state he was in....
K's kill off the Chaulk penalty...
End of 2.... Flint's up 2-1
Ref got penalty happy late in the 2nd period...
3rd underway... K's 0-8 on the PP
Missed first 10 min of 3rd period... K's down 3-1
K's lose to Flint again.... I hope we dont see them in the playoffs because right now we just cant beat them....
Flint really took it to us physically tonight.....they hit us all night.
Thank god we only play flint 1 more time...they have our number, thats for sure...
The K's got pushed around and Flint controlled the entire 3rd period. Not having Mac and even Woods we really lack a physical element to control guys like Olynk and Cescon who take cheap shots at some of our skill players. Is there a reason why Rodgers is being used as an extra forward instead of on the Blueline? It just seems he is wasted in being used as the extra forward?
See, this is why I had problems with Al repeatedly calling Flint a "last place team" after they beat us twice in a row in early March. First of all, it was no longer true -- they had moved into 6th. Secondly, it was known even then that Flint was experiencing a resurgence. Funny how it took so long for people to finally start taking them seriously. They're just a last place team, you say? Well, guess what.
I actually hope Flint sneaks into the playoffs but it may be too little too late.
Give that coaching staff and players some credit they are playing some good hockey in a bad situation
