Nice article Blake. Described everything about the game to a "T".

Have to admit, he did scare me on the first two shots in the shoot out, but then he came around!

The first Eville goal, no one was home on defense. The second one, Bouch was asleep. The third one was all Eville, not much the Ks could do. The first two shootout goals for Eville were too easy for them. Bouch looked like an ametuer out there during the first two. He finally settled in, thankfully. I think the team is starting to come around a little bit, but Eville isn't that good, like Justin said. So we have quite a bit of work to do. What's it going to take to get someone to camp out in front of the net? Are they scared? Where's Hukalo when you need him?

Is Evansville that good or did the K's play poorly ?

I think Evansville is pretty good.

Frow, Evansville is not the same team as last season. I think they'll be top 4 of the conference this year along with RC, Miss, FW...

They've added a lot of pieces that they were missing last year.

This surprises me !!! I guess I haven't paid much attention to who they added in the off season.Makes for a interesting season.

Agree totally with JM. Playoffs this year are really going to be fascinating, depending on who gets there.

K's are playing poorly right now, but they'll adjust. They're some good players on this team. Using Eville as a measuring device isn't a good idea. They've got some talent just like the rest of the league does. I'll be shocked if they have double digit wins into the quarter of the season. Same goes for Ks. Eville might be the best old-IHL team right now but there are alot better teams in the CHL right now. I think Mizzou and RC are going to dominate the Turner Conference. I hope I'm wrong. Hopefully the Ks will start to click better as they play more, it's starting to show a little.

I'm not so sure if there will be any team that dominates the league this year. Dayton played RC awful tough this weekend and I think the league will be wide open. I think we will see a lot of 30 win teams this year.

Blake, I want your take on some of the things the Komets are trying to do to keep the fans entertained. The Icy at the Movie segment where they did a spoof on Spiderman was simply awful! It was weird, distasteful and I honestly felt embarrassed over it. And whats up with the taking 2 breaks now during periods instead of the normal one? Maybe its for the sponsors but its getting kinda overboard, don't you think?

Icy at the movie isn't nearly as much fun so far as it was the past few seasons.

I hadn't noticed the two breaks, but I've been so busy with video, photos, blogging and tweating, I'd probably be thankful for every extra second. Sitting in the stands, I'm sure I would not be. I have no idea if that's a league thing or a Komet thing. I'll remember to ask, though.
