Tailing the Komets

The boys are on the ice

So far, I'm really impressed with the conditioning everyone came into camp with. You can really tell the difference from last year.

Kevin Reiter and Derek Patrosso are here already, Craig Cescon will be in later this afternoon, Mathieu Curadeau and Kaleigh Schrock will be in tomorrow, so that's everybody from the AHL camps. The reports those guys gave to the guys who are here is that that they all thought they played well and there was nothing more they could do to make the team.

Coach Al Sims said he plans to play all the youngsters in Thursday's exhibition game with Dayton.

Part of the pre-camp check-in includes testing for baseline exams in case players suffer concussions durin g

Check out the Schrocky Balboa fight in Hershey against Bridgeport. Go to Game Highlights on the left then hit the 10/3/10 game. It's at the 2:00 minute point. http://soundtigers.neulion.com/soundtigers/
Had a good one at Wilks Barre but no video available yet.

There are still over 4000 seats available for the home opener. I thought for sure there would be a lot less than that less than 2 weeks before. Here everyone in the other CHL cities have heard of the history and fan support the Komets have always had and it sounds like the first game of the season against the defending CHL champs may not come close to a sellout. I know there are fans who are disgruntled but come on. We need to show support for this team which will be good again. Everyone gripped about how there were only 7 teams in the IHL last year and got tired of seeing the same teams over and over and here's their chance to see new teams and now where are they? Would they rather the IHL was still in existance and there were only 5 or 6 teams. Now maybe there will be a lot of walk ups the night of the game and ticket sales up until that time will pick up and hopefully I will be proven wrong. We all know how well the Komets play when there is a sellout.

That's a completely normal amount of tickets to be available for two weeks out, KK.

I can't ever remember at least in the time i've been going to games where the Komets have ever sold out 2 weeks before their Home Opener.
