Fort Wayne-native is the new coach at Dayton. He'll do a great job. Mr. Energy will work his tail off. Congratulations, Brian.

Congratulations to Brian.
Here is hoping he brings a winner to Dayton.
Wow.
Drulia backs out.
Martinson said no.
Hope Gratz is able to do the trick there.
Let's hope that Dayton's team is coached and plays a lot better than the Gem's new proposed Jerseys look. May be it's just me, but the potential jerseys available in Dayton's Jersey Poll at http://www.daytongems.com/News/012.html don't seem to show a whole lot of inspiration.
Good for Brian Gratz; but is going from John Marks (who guided a first year team through a very turbulent 1st season in the IHL that saw 2 different ownership groups and still had his guys ready to play every night) to Brian Gratz an improvement? I dont want to take anything away from Gratz, who from all accounts is a hard working guy, and a potential up and comer; but this is a gamble, IMO...
I would be interested to see what some of the Dayton fans have to say on this hire... Kinda quiet right now...
Brian has always reminded me of John Torchetti in his work ethic, willingness to learn, outgoing personality and his flat out desire to win. I think he's just at the start of a very long career. Sometimes you have to swing for the fences to hit home runs, and I think that is what the Gems are trying to do.
