Buckle up, knuckleheads

I'll bet you find this shocking. About 48 million people do not regularly put on seat belts when they are on the open road. Who are they?

Often they are young men who live in rural areas and drive pickups, the government says.

The government is using $31 million in state and federal funds for an education campaign that seeks "to attract young drivers who watch sporting events such as NASCAR and baseball." Maybe they ought to consider putting "buckle-up" reminders on beer cans.

Heck, Leo...I put MY seatbelt on, and it doesn't even work (thanks to "superior" engineering by GM in the 80s)...LOL.

Aside from the fact that I will be fixing it yet again (soon), I used to not wear one (in the bad old days), but after some stints with using a company vehicle, that was enough to "indoctrinate" me...figured I'd stand a better chance of survival with a belt on in THEIR vehicle and could live to SUE...ROFL!

Careful drivers "don't need no steenkin' belt", but thanks to ALL those (other) morons that are trying to do everything under the sun AS WELL AS drive a vehicle...well...you do the math on that one.
Better safe than sorry.
