Trying to accommodate smokers:
A number of local eateries and bars have built patios, or added onto old ones, because of the smoking ordinance. The 412 Club is the only one The News-Sentinel could find that actually marked a line for smokers and nonsmokers.
Not everyone, though. I am reliably informed that a Fort Wayne Police officer has been stationed at (or at least making it a point to stop by) the Citlink transfer station on Superior Street, writing $25 tickets on smokers caught lighting up there. Nice little money-maker for the city, and from the folks who are not exactly at the top of the economic ladder.
