Is it just me or has the decreased number of minor league hockey teams around the country already made a marked difference for players trying to find teams to employ them? It just seems like a lot of players are being cut who wouldn't have been not so long ago.

I'm very surprised that Quad City did not claim Saidachev when the K's waived him. From the outside looking in, it seems that Quad City needs more offense and skill than another defenseman. I read Blake's story on Brandon Warner and his successful hip surgery and recovery. Let's hope that by filing down that chip on his hip, it also somehow cured his propensity for making the careless outlet passes from his zone we have seen so often.

Alan-- I just hope it helps his shot from the point. He has a rifle for a shot and we could use that for sure.
I would agree with you about somebody not picking up Saidachev. It may be they didn't want to pay his contract coming off of waivers. Now they are dealing with his agent. We just don't know. He may end up in the IHL someplace yet.

What's the commercial about? Having PC and Mac in it makes me think it's a computer commercial...that would actually be hilarious. I'll have to watch for that.
I hope Evgeny lands on his skates. He deserves a chance somewhere. He is a good player, we just had so many of those this season!

The photos aren't bad Wendy. The white balance in the second looks a little off but with the lighting in there you can expect some of that.
