I can proudly say I'm clean with my yelling 99.9% of the time, the one exception being the Wichita game which was the only time this year Ive let a couple profanities fly. Well out loud atleast..and in English. I was cursing like a sailor most games earlier in the year but that was only in my head.

The whole "sucks!" chant started in fun and it will stay that way.

Half a season Steve? The chants have been going for atleast 3 years and have continued the grow. People complaining about the word "sucks" is a perfect example of how soft hockey has become.

Instead of giving away ice scrapers, bobble heads, pucks, posters, velcro wallets, etc they should setup a promotion with kleenix and pass out boxes of tissues

I think a refresher on the "too many men" call needs to be done, then...

There's a safe zone around the bench that as long as the player coming on to the ice doesnt touch the puck until his guy is off the ice, then he's ok... Just because the puck goes by the bench during a change doesnt mean its a penalty and that's when I hear it shouted the most...

There have been a couple PP units for the K's over the years that if you didnt remind them to shoot, they never would... They would pass the puck 727 times and never take a shot in 2 minutes...lol And do you ever notice, the K's seem to shoot less when they have the 2 man advantage? Seems like they are guilty of trying to make it too pretty at times...

The hand pass one kills me though. I'm waiting for some of our braniac fans to start yelling for the goalie to get a penalty for closing is hand on the puck...lol

They could set up a Charmin section.....

Amen JR, nothing makes my skin crawl more than the people yelling "too many men!" "hand pass!" "icing!" etc etc

If you are going to yell, please atleast know the rules

Does the Charmin section get the even numbers sections (despite Twister and his crew in section 212) or 600's?

I will never forget coming into the arena this season and hearing Twister dropping Bombs at Larry pregame.....I was clear out in the lobby by the Orange Collar Crowd machine and could hear him pounding Larry with random insults.

I can remember the days of Martinson and the Rockford Traveling Circus coming into town......Bruce Watson was a popular target of verbal assault......to the point he couldn't keep his attention off the crowd.

Jim Duhart.....well, he loved the conversation with the crowd, he would blow kisses during the National Anthem, and everytime he lit the lamp too.....which seemed like about 99 times in the MC......man that guy still gives me nightmares.

Thanks Hit, now I miss my good buddy Broomboy Watson...He and I often had "friendly" conversations DURING the game while he was on the ice, warmups, and any other chance we got. He even came and sat down next to me during a game he was scratched because he didnt think I would say the same stuff to his face...He was mistaken and after that you could tell a certain level of respect from him. Speaking of Bruce...Anyone wanna go to 7-11?

Robin Bouchard was another guy you could get off his game... we have some hecklers in lower 217 who could really get under his skin.
Thanks for reminding me of Duhart... I'll never forget him trying to "shush" us after he scored a meaningless goal late in a game in December. We all started wishing him a Merry Christmas, which actually shut him up for once!
I'm occasionally guilty of yelling "shoot!", especially when the power play guys seem to forget how. Mom will not like me sharing this story, but it's too funny not to. The other night PC was doinking around with the puck on a power play (imagine that) and Mom yelled "Shoot the puck, you idiot!" during one of those times when a hush falls over the crowd. I'm pretty sure you could hear her across the ice. Then she tried to crawl under her chair... sorry Mom! :)

Donnie Margettie was another guy who you could get under his skin, he and I always went back and forth. Great guy off the ice and one you wanted to smack in the head with a stick on the ice. In the finals when we went 3OT against PoHo there's a chance he received a gift prior to that game..A Komets onesie for his daughter that was due to be born at any time, he got a huge kick out of that one, took a picture and sent it to his wife right away and she too loved it, gave me his game used stick as a thank you.

I saw Robin Big Snake challenge the crowd to a fight one night when the Martinson Circus came to town.....RBS was suspended and was in the crowd, several people were yelling choice words his way, he darn near went Robin Big Snake on the crowd.

How offended are you? 100% or just 71%????

K-Zoo fans seated behind Hit Somebody one game a few years ago talking smack all game long about how great the K-Wings were and yelling "I love you Willie!!!!"......was fun when they left the game early as the Komets were smoking them. By the way, I think it was a game when Henley punked Willis and also beat the living crap out of Jordan Little. They didn't have much to say after that.

Hit, that was in my section..RBS was trying to hit on some girl while her boyfriend was sitting right next to her. The bf had some choice words for Snake and he fired right back and that's when most of the fans realized who it was and started yelling at him so he challenged anyone to fight him which brought on even more fun

If the couple were regulars at games, they didn't usually sit there and Ive got a feeling they were people who didn't normally go to games..Pretty sure they had no clue who RBS was.

Remember the original "leather lungs"? He always picked his time to yell out the most intelligent and funny stuff. The crowd loved it and even the player or the ref he was reffering to always had a reaction. Thinking his first name was Gary. He could have doubled as the PA system if they ever lost power. Well timed and thought out razzing like that cannot be beat!!

I remember him, Tim. Years ago I used to sit in old section 7. He used to be in section 6 or 5 ( I can't remember).

He had the type of voice that just carried and the thing I remember most is how he would call the player or the ref a "lilly". He had the knack of knowing just when to yell and it always seemed the Coliseum was deadly quiet so the whole place would hear him.

A good memory for me and just another tidbit of "Komet hockey".

Hey Ref you may want to take a pregnancy test after the game. You just missed 3 periods...... My all time favorite and could be used many times this season.

And I sit with the new "leather lungs" sometimes....my buddy Dan is so loud, the Komets heard him yelling at Laaarryy one night IN the locker room. From upper 216. Larry the PA guy, if the power ever goes out, you're good. We gotcha covered. ;)

Yes, Dan is loud! He made some fans out of some kids in my row one night...
I forgot my dad's favorite line of all time. He would stand up, take his glasses off and yell to the ref "Hey ref! You want these? You need them more than I do!"

LOL....awesome. I wish I could have yelled along with your dad, FMM. He and I would have made a great team! :)
