Hopefully Chewy's luck changes soon. I always root for him because his effort level is always at 100% and he leaves it all out on the ice.

On another note, are there any theories out there as to why Schrock skates around with his mouth guard hanging out of his mouth? When he got put into the glass on Wednesday, it actually fell out of his mouth because he didn't have it in.

ok so I saw this article this morning in the paper and thought I would post it...not because its about the Colts and the Saints...but because of what everyone should know about teams...its not about one player, its about them all...it was a good article...

I am with Frozen Water as he desribed Chwedoruk. This guy hustles all the time, just flies on the ice, and even though he is in a slump, he contributes quite a bit in other ways. I remember him well when he played against the K's and I am glad he is wearing Orange and Black. This may be the third time I've posted this-but when Chewy and O'Connor snap out of their goal scoring slumps, the K's will be tough to handle. I haven't lost faith in him and am looking forward to when that next goal is scored.

Anyone who hustles as much as Chewy does is OK with me no matter how many goals he scores. There's been times it seems like he's one of the only guys in a K's sweater who cares.
I've wondered about the mouth guard thing too. What possible good can it be doing you if it's not where it's supposed to be? LOL I seem to remember the K's having another guy who always had his mouth guard hanging out... Marchant maybe? Drove me nuts!

One other question... With all of his hustle, wouldn't you think it'd be possible for SOMEONE to find Chewy a helmet that actually fits him? I know he's a little guy, but sheesh, help him protect his melon! Helmet always looks like it's going to roll off the back of his head!

Looking at Chewy

both the dangling mouth guard and the loose lid are , im sure , personal preferences.

Coaches like to look at 5 game segments - in the last 5 games Chewy is tied with Chaulk for the team lead with 4 points each (0G-4A each) - seems to me he is contributing.

musky is gone, Hit has called it right.

The story was not meant as a criticsm of Chewie, it was meant to be a study of the things he's trying to do to break through. I could not have written it without his help and willingness to talk about all of this, of which I am very appreciative.

Might Musky is not gone. They have made no agreement and the league meetings have not happened yet.

Schrocky's mouthpiece humors me. I often think he looks like Andy Samberg when he has his helmet on.. Or maybe thats just because he plays "like a boss"...

The first guy I seen the mouth piece out was Kevin Popp= the TOUGHEST D-man to play for the K's

My son does the same thing with his mouthpiece, FiveMinuteMajor....he can't stand actually having one in his mouth, but has to have one to be "by the book". Nowhere does it say it actually has to be positioned all the way in his teeth, but of course, it should be....he looks a LOT like Schrock when he's on the ice, all hustle, long hair, and several rebound goals this season (combined with last season, it's youth hockey after all and they only go half the Komet's season). Different position on the ice, same result.

I'm sitting this one out tonight, guys. Still sore from my tumble on the ice Wednesday, may have to get this wrist looked at. Too bad I fell at home so there's no one I can sue! I kid, I kid... :P That and my normally 20-minute commute took 45 minutes tonight. I think it's a Netflix kind of night. Drive safe everyone who ventures out!

Blake: I dont think anyone really took it as negative. I thought it was a good article on a great player. Parking lot is slicker than the rink tonight. Maybe I can get a "ride with Icy" back to my car.

When I was in the bathroom, I heard Bob Chase say that Keith Rodger is back, but that another player had been injured in practice and was out. Was it Phillips? I was trying to deduce who was missing since Bob didn't give a name (at least not at that point).
