I will have to remember to bring my book with me on both nights then. Thanks for arranging this Blake.
By the way, it is a great read, I am almost done with it, and I am looking forward to my Bob Chase book that should be arriving any day now!
Great job!
Blake, did you forget to include Guy in the list of players at the back of the book?
Could be. I remember I was debating whether to include active players or not, so I probably did forget him. At least we know where he is, and he'll be in Volume 2 of Legends someday.
Thanks for the comment Charlie. Glad and relieved you enjoyed it.
Yeah, just teasing a bit. I always enjoy your stories about the players and other characters.
BTW, thanks very much to the News Sentinel for running coverage of last week's High School action at McMillen. It was a great picture. Hope the paper keeps it up.
Won't be able to do it every week, but we're going to try a few times. I've my intern/ace kid reporter working on some city and state tournament previews.
Great book Blake. I've been going to Komet games long enough that I remember these guys playing/coaching and your book is bringing back many memories.
I'm also giving my brother and my best friend copies, they're both also season ticket holders. Komet hockey has always been a part of our family.
Thank you very much, Steve. Glad you are enjoying it.
Congrats on your new books, Blake. I have the Legends and just finished Bob's chapter. Looking forward to the rest. I have ordered Bob's book and I am looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I'm clear out here in Olympia, WA and won't be able to attend the book signings. Sounds like a great time.
Thank you, Dean. How and the heck did you become a Komets' fan in Olympia, Washington?
I grew up in Fort Wayne listening to the Komets on the radio. After getting my license and a job, my friends and I attended almost every home game during the season. I left town 21 years ago when I joined the service and remained a Komet fan.
Cool! Thanks for picking up the book. Sounds like you left Fort Wayne but you've never really "left" Fort Wayne.
Blake,
I just got my copy of the book and started reading after my class today. I can't wait to read the rest of it.....very nicely written, as always.
Thanks, Bob
