Coliseum files suit against Kalamazoo

The Memorial Coliseum filed a complaint in Allen Superior Court on Monday against Greater Kalamazoo Sports, Inc. The document claims the Kalamazoo Wings damaged equipment in the visitor's dressing room after a Dec. 21, 2008 game against the Komets. Coliseum official say fire damage to a showerhead, toilet seat, handicapped shower bench, walls and flooring in the room cost $9,450 to fix.

General Manager Randy Brown said coliseum officials have tried numerous times to be compensated by the Wings for the damage. The building eventually deducted the money from the Komets.

“Somebody did tremendous damage to the locker room,” Komets President Michael Franke said. “From our perspective, the coliseum has evidence it was done by the Kalamazoo Wings, and they are refusing to take responsibility for it. The Komets have taken responsibility for it. It happened on our guard at the game that night. It sounds like the coliseum is trying to get to the bottom of who actually did the damage.”

Officials from the Wings were unable to comment Monday evening, saying they had not seen the complaint yet.

The Wings won the game 2-1 on Dec. 21, before 6,497 fans as goaltender Joel Martin made 33 saves.

The brakes on the Wings' bus froze that day and coliseum officials allowed the team to park in the Exposition Hall and then helped transport the team's equipment to the dressing room.

So how do you feel about Track and Field being covered on tv? Talk about a waste of tv.

The US Open Tennis is fun to watch. Just my opinion of course. But back to RK and his persistant trashing of all things Wendy.

Just like getting you riled up Hit. Not too sure you could really say anything about anyone else trashing everything though. And since you asked, you couldn't pay me to watch track and field on TV. Good try though, just a swing and a miss on your part. In all honesty, I don't watch too many sports on TV past college basketball and the NFL. I'm usually too busy outside DOING things as opposed to watching other people do them on TV. That's just me though. Good job on your spelling of "persistant" too. That one has three syllables and you nailed it right on! Good job, big fella!
A wink goes to Wendy. She knows all is well. Sorry if I'm stepping on your game, Hit. It's not intentional. Spit away!

I give up.

I don't want to continue this peeing match with you. It really is stupid. Not sure how it started, or why, and don't really care. You can go ahead and lob your shots at me....it is meaningless.

So you win.

Best wishes.

Oh Hit, I was just messing around. Didn't mean any harm. If it makes you feel better, I got my four wheeler stuck in the Mighty Maumee tonight and smelled like I'd been drug through a sewer when I got it out. You're a K's fan, I cannot hold a grudge against you. We're all just bored. In a month and a half we'll all be united and hating all outsiders in the IHL.
As for the two posts after Hit's... You're both wrong because it's going to be two in a row. Wings will choke again, just one round earlier. Pens and Hawks in the Finals. Kane is going to stab a grocery clerk after she accidentally gives him a penny too little in change and that will turn the tide.
