Tailing the Komets

Coming Thursday

First off, you can read about former Komet and current Muskegon coach Bruce Ramsay here.

On Thursday I've got two things coming, one of which you are all very familiar with, and the other is a funny feature on Bruce Richardson's diet. If ever somebody needs to sit down and have a cookie, he's the guy, as will be explained in the story.

Two notes for you: The Komets are 29-15-3 all-time on Thanksgiving, including 27-14-3 at home. They are 5-2 on Thanksgiving since joining the UHL.

The other thing is that usually Thanksgiving is the longest game of the year for some reason. Maybe everybody's grouchy or tired, but it's true. New Year's Eve is usually the shortest game of the year.

Everybody have a great Thanksgiving.

Well I don't have to work on Friday so if it goes long no big deal. I wonder if they took into account that night the INDY had to hire cabs because their bus company forgot to pick them up for the game.

Remember that awful game a few years back against Missouri where neither team could skate, pass or shoot and with just a few minutes left Missouri scored a cheap goal and the K's lost 1-0? All I could think was, I blew off Thanksgiving dinner at home and drove 6 hours for THAT???

Well...if you want to sleep just make sure you wake up when my business advertisement is read during the 3rd period Friday LOL.
That thanksgiving game was by far the worst hockey game I have ever seen in my life.

Let's hope that this weeks games are better than what is going on in Quad City right now:

With 16:38 remaining in the 2nd period...it is Rockford 2, Quad City 0 and 100 total PIM's on 26 offences, including J. Tapp being ejected from the game. Former Komet Zach Sikich is now in goal for QC.

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving. See everyone at the game.
