Tailing the Komets

Could this be the Ks' third jersey?

The Komets are adding a third jersey for December's reverse-jersey month in the IHL. It could look something like this. I know this is one of David Franke's favorites and he has an original in his closet.

Which ones would you like to see? You can look at all of them here.

I've always liked this one and this one. I always thought it would be cool to have one with orange shoulder boards over black. I'm just happy it's not Captain Komet again. I'm tired of that one.

I really like the Thornson jersey also. The worst jersey of all time is the one worn by Ron Leef. That is one ugly jersey. He is a great guy but the sweater should never see the light of day. I have no idea what went through Welkers mind when he came up with it.

I actually have been a fan of the old school jersey that Reddick and Burton are wearing.

I am really getting old or something. I should have said the Jim Burton #6 sweater that sucks. If we had the Con Madigan #4 sweater Burgee could spill all the Ripple he wanted on it and no one would be able to tell. That was a neat sweater also. If I was younger I would have called it cool. Oh well!

Sorry to say, Blake, but Kaptain Komet has always been my favorite. I also like the sweaters worn by Reggie primeau, Con Madigan & Eddie Long.

I like the one Chin is wearing. Kind of reminds me of a photograph negative. As I typed that the thought came to me that there's a whole generation of kids now who have no idea what a photo negative is... yikes I'm getting old. And I'm glad to see that Kaptain Komet is being retired, I always thought he was a little creepy looking.

I'm a fan of the Merv Dubchack jersey. I'm sure it's not one that most others would like. About the last thing I've ever been accused of is having fashion sense, I just like the older jerseys.

Dschebig is right - that red, white and blue jersey with the Indiana outline on it was the WORST thing ever! I hated it with a passion.

I like any jersey that has a forty goal a year scorer inside of it.

As long as the Komets are winning in that 3rd jersey that is what I care about. However, the Kaptain Komet is my father's favorite jersey. Personally, not my favorite, but I wouldn't mind seeing them wear that one...Dad would be happy.

I'm not really a fan of any of those that don't have the orange and black. That one Pokey is in reminds me too much of something Kalamazoo would wear. Some of the others are cool, but I'd like to see them in orange and black.

Has anyone seen the "NEW" Flyers orange sweaters? I think they are neat. Also they are undefeated in them.

Anything that had Steve Fletcher's face in it is fine with me. And Kaptain Komet was kool, sorry, Blake! Two votes from this house for that one....the boy likes 'em too.

I like the Colin chin one also

KsLemay7 where have you been? You haven't posted here in forever! Welcome back.

I like several of them and hate the Welker special, always have. If I were to ever buy one to wear to the games I would like it to be Madigan's along with his name on it. He was amazing in his own way and went on to become a legend both loved and hated out west.

Er... This third jersey isn't going to be an exact replica, is it? I'd prefer a throw-back with a few original elements worked in. In any case, I guess my favorite is the Jean-Marc Richard one.
