Tailing the Komets

Couple of notes

* Talked to Leo Thomas today after practice and he's wearing a walking boot on his sprained ankle. He said he rode the bike hard yesterday and it felt a little sore today. He's hoping to resume skating on Monday, but won't be able to play next Wednesday.

* Looks like the Komets may have to reschedule a game in February when the have four games scheduled in four nights Feb. 18-21. The players association is saying no dice, which is the right call.

What would you like? He wasn't there, they've released him. Team management is at the all-star game and unavailable.

On your last note - That'd be interesting if that actually happened.

Just asking.....I'm curious why he was released.

Mat McCue from dayton has been granted leave by the league, maybe Legs will be going to dayton!

More than likely because they need the spot to activate Schrock on Friday.

I wonder what "granted leave" means? It sounds like it might be different then a release or cut and as of today he's still on their roster on both their web site and Pointstreak. Not a word on Dayton's web site about it that I could find either.

The granted leave probably means he had to go home for a family emergency, atleast that's my guess

It is like the Berevent (Spelling) list in baseball to allow a player to take care of family emergencies.
