Komets defenseman Franke DeAngelis was named the IHL's Rookie of the Week today after he had two goals and two assists. He currently ranks second among IHL rookies with seven power-play assists, and leads Fort Wayne in goals by a defenseman with eight. He's second on the team to Guy Dupuis with 24 points.

Frankie has been a great find this season for the K's. We need his strong play to lead us to the playoffs. Great Job!!!
Frankie has really stepped up his game, especially over the past 3-4 weeks. A very classy guy off the ice also.
I like the versatility that DeAngelis has in playing his position. It would be interesting to see him on a D-line with Vince Tarantino when he gets healthy.
