Design-a-jersey raises $4,721

Arts United teamed up with the Fort Wayne Komets and Technology Specialists for the first ever Design-A-Jersey contest on Saturday, March 22nd.  After reviewing over 100 design entries from students and fans across northeast Indiana, local tattoo artist Jeff Stump of Device Tattoo was chosen as the winner featuring a special wrap around jersey design.

After the game in an E-Bay style auction, eleven player jerseys including Sergei Durdin, Matt Reynolds, Maxim Shirokov, Jake Pence, David Hukalo, Konstantin Shafranov, Luciano Aquino, Terry Marchant, Nick Boucher, Evgeny Saidachev, and Colin Chaulk were auctioned off.  Colin Chaulk's jersey took the top bid at $600, followed close by a bid of $560 for Luciano Aquino's jersey.  This unique promotion netted a total of $4,721 for Arts United.

“Arts United is proud to be a part of Fort Wayne and this unique partnership was a great way to show support for the arts, the Komets and our community,” said Arts United Executive Director Jim Sparrow.
