The International Hockey League (IHL) conducted a dispersal draft on Wednesday to disperse players from the 2006-07 final rosters of the Chicago Hounds, Elmira Jackals, Quad City Mallards and Rockford IceHogs. Those four Member Clubs will not participate in the 2007-08 IHL season.
The order in which current Member Clubs selected players was based on their winning percentage in the final standings of the 2006-07 season, with lowest-ranked teams choosing first. By choosing a player in the dispersal draft, IHL teams have the rights to the selected player for the 2007-08 season.

That should read TOO CRIMINAL to even play for Portland. Man I need a nap LOL.
The ICE lost their fan base when they went to the CHL and lost even more loads of fans when they went to Junior Hockey. NO ONE cares about that product. They need the IHL there where they can rekindle rivalries with the KOMETS! The Pacers and Colts don't really take away from the ICE. It is still a very large city and there still is a niche market there that wants hockey with the right type of style and did I mention....The Komets?
I think part of the problem with Indy is the fact that a lot of people really do not want to go to the Pepsi Coliseum unless they are carrying a .357 Magnum (or a 9mm!)
The building has not been taken care of....give me a break....the last CHL Ice game I went to the ice was nearly 6 inches thick, my seat was very uncomfortable, one could see gaps in the end zone walls.
I think that they did have better attendance when they played at MSA. I was there for several crowds of over 10,000.
Of course, MSA is nothing but a fond memory (and a parking lot!)
I remember talk in the 1990's of the possibility of Indy getting a NHL team, but I think they would be better suited for an IHL team in the near future, especially if they could play in a nicer building.....
Building is scheduled to be renovated. MSA was better for selected individual games, but I've been there when it was like Hoffman Estates.
Hit, we have got to quit agreeing on things. It's giving me the willies! LOL.
i used to be a big ranger fan and went thru alot of disapointing years, then came the smurfs and messier and the great one! now i follow only becasue of weeks and purinton. i see highlights on espn of nhl games and i swear. i just dont know these people any more. the nhl does a terrible job of promoting itself and its players. even watch ing a hawks game on cable, i find myself wondering who these people are. give me the new ihl and some rivalries against guys i know and will know and let the fun return.
Great minds think alike Blake.....
Reidman.....what? Tell us what's on your mind...MAN!
Hits spittin the truth Blake!!
Build an arena in the Broadripple/outskirts of indy area like the Sears center, people will come. They are dying to spend their money on something.
