LaPointe, Thomas, Warner

Rizk, Mele, Thorne

Auger, DeAngelis

Well, everyone got their wish, that means no one will whine anymore on the blog right? I doubt it! I for one, think its the wrong choice! PC you are a class act, on and off the ice. I will miss seeing #71 on the ice and the leadership that comes with it.
Good Luck in the future and I hope to see you and Luc again at Vince's soon! :)

Janice it is not a personal decision .. it is a hockey decision .. the FACT is PC was not one of the top forwards we had ..... yes he is a class act ... yea he is a great guy ...... but its a hockey team not a "good old boys club" Keep the best players ....... PERIOD dont matter how long they been here ... dont matter where they were born.

I'll admit I had already accepted the fact that PC was on the team and even got myself excited to see what he could do this year. When fired up (I.e. Playoffs) PC can still play at a top level but motivation and his body being able to handle it were major question marks heading into this season. As long as no one picks up his rights, I would not be surprised to see him in a Fort Wayne jersey if the injury bug attacks.

Regardless, best of luck to you in your future endeavors PC. Even as everyone tore him apart he remained level headed and has always been a class act.

Blake can you confirm for me that your third line listed is correct? LaPointe-Thomas_WARNER?

It has to be a typo (come on Blake! LOL) with Warner in the lines that would be 20 dressed, I think 19 is the limit. Rizk and Thorne would probably trade out on the open wing with the 3rd line or wherever Al puts them.

hmm...then explain Warner! I have been around Komet Hockey along time, so please don't act like you are trying to tell me something new. I never once commented about how long he's been here nor did I comment about where he was born! It was my opinion. PERIOD! He had an off season last year, he is still faster and has more skill then half the team and that does not even count the leadership he brings. We will see how the season goes, but I bet he will be missed more then they are willing to admit.

Thanks for your service and play PC....you are still my buddy.

Ok....Warner is a Forward now? WTH?

Is this October Fools Day in Canada or something?

Maybe this is the clue the next cut is Warner?

Sometimes I don't get Al Sims. Shrock is on what is supposed to be our top line? He is not a top line player. Shrock is a good checking 3rd liner. If they are planning on keeping Thomas, then why not put him on the top line. He has more potential to score 20+ goals then Shrock. I would like to see these combos:
Chaulk Bennefield Apod
Smith Chaumont Thomas
LaPointe Mele Thorne/Rizk

DeAngelis (new vet dman) or Starenky when healthy
B Molle Milam
D Molle Llwellyn

Thanks for the years in orange and black, PC! It's going to be weird not seeing you on the ice. I, for one, will miss you and your leadership skills, just as I am sure your teammates will. Best wishes to you and your family.

Wouldn't supprise me if PC rejoins the team if one of these new unproven players doesn't produce.

Anymore news coming Blake? Not rushing you....just curious.

I expect a new player in by Saturday now...at least it feels like one is on the way. I bet OJ Auger is not a DMan for long. Maybe a practice one for 2 days tops.

I roll the dice on Later. Unless there is someone else out there ready to make the team. Where is Bertram...uh....nevermind.

Hit, where does Leo fit?

Thu, 10/20/2011 - 10:48am

Kevin agreed. That is why I said on another thread he is probably on the Komets hotline in case of injury.

Actually.... If he stayed in shape and was brought back maybe with 20-25 games to go for a playoff run...It might not be the worst idea. I don't think he can play at a high level for a full season anymore. That is why I wanted him gone last year too. I am glad it happened now. That said I enjoyed the heck out of watching him play these last few years. When he was on his game his talent was right there with the Russian 3.

I bet PC is mad enough that he will play somewhere else now. Just a hunch. He worked hard all summer and wanted to play one last year.....

He might be the new Brandon Narauto.....hmmmm.

Which Russian 3 Snuff?

Malykhin, Radchenko, Simchik?

I like giving Warner a chance at wing. I thought he filled in VERY well at that spot the past few years! I don't think he is (or can be) an effective d-man at this level. He pinches too often on offense and takes too many chances that turn into odd-man rushes...but he can distribute the puck in the offensive zone and has a nice shot.

Hit,

Doesn't there have to be more news, since they need to cut one more player?

And think of it like this, 71% is over a full season. You shrink that season to about 33%, and you get 243% effort from your Buddy!

Or maybe there doesn't need to be another move. These IR rules confuse me.

PC the new Brandon Naurato? PC would look ridiculous with a mustache and mullett. I don't buy it.

Agree with managements decision to release PC.
I look forward to seeing him and eventually Warner with Dayton.

Enough Already
Thu, 10/20/2011 - 1:57pm

I've got to admit, all summer I've been wanting new players signed, and new players who make the team. I was wanting some of the vets to be gone so we could get some hungrier, younger players in here.. But I am not feeling to great about this move. I think PC should be kept over Leo and Warner... I don't know why but this doesn't feel like the right move to me...

Thanks to you P.C. for the championships you helped bring to the Fort. I wish you all the success that is due to you. My hope now is you will remain in the community of which you have been a contributing member to over the years.
