Wow, it looks like the suite dwellers could get cooked in thier seats...lol

These are LED panels. LED's produce virtually no heat compared to regular bulbs, are brighter, and use very little energy.

Besides that, I doubt the majority of the suite occupants are watching the entire game.

How do you pronounce that big long word they got up there?

Steve
Wed, 09/22/2010 - 5:13pm

Agree on the heat issue from the LEDs, unless the jungle really gets rocking and they fall down.......

Every time I sit in a suite I watch the entire game and those I've been with do too but I've always been in there with hockey fans, not people out just socializing. That could change if I end up in a suite above Burgee's seats, the temptation to throw things might be too great.........

I think that's the country the Komets' new goon is from, right Mitebight?

Steve.. If you need help let me know I might be able to get some stuff to throw. Lil Pills and Foo Foo cups. I don't know maybe a puck or two.. Heck I would pay just to see that.

Anyone what to bet on who the 1st. Komet will be to hit the Ribbon Boards? Come on now you know that is going to happen.

Boy, it looks like an AHL arena. ;-)

LOL K Tee

Got my eye on you Steve, saw you at Norwell, ya snubbed me!

Anybody know when the komet preview section is coming out? Seems like it takes fOrever to get that thing and then sometimes the players names aren't spelled right, usually missing a letter or two.

Schebig, when did you get out of city county?

I've been in AHL arenas that don't look that nice! ;)

Sorry about that Burgee, I didn't see you until you were ahead of me on the way out. Probably be a couple of weeks before I can catch another game, I'll look for you.

First Komet to hit the ribbon boards? Good one, could probably start a pool on that. Heck, I'd bet the players will have one going by the first game.

That looks like money well spent ... rolling eyes. Just what the MC needed - something to display even more ads.

Maybe with the new display, and its increased ad revenue, it won't be such a big deal for someone to finally let me cut out the 10x10 hole at the bottom of one of the goal-area dasher boards so I can install the remote camera box I've been asking about ... just like the one in Detroit that produces at least 5 Leading off images a year in Sports Illustrated.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and keep holding my breath on that one.

Chad..Maybe with the Blakes pull and your abilities you can get a camera inside the goal nets. That would be some neat shots. That would makes us as good as the NHL. Than some of these poke funners wouldn't be comparing us to the AHL. Dream on! It is after all what life is all about.

I don't know... "AHL Scorekeeper" would look pretty darn impressive on a resume DS... ;-)

Thu, 09/23/2010 - 6:34am

JM...So would NHL scorekeeper but it's not going to happen so I don't get my hopes up. After 37 going on 38 yrs. I have learned to appreciate what I have and get to do. Let me see IHL..UHL..IHL now CHL. Like I said "Dream on" that is what life is all about. I just live in the here and now! That is one of the things advanced age and the wisdom that comes with those years has blessed me with.

Burgee will say that my advanced years have made me feeble minded and he might be correct.

Looking at these pictures - I wonder if we're going to feel like Kramer when Kenny Rogers Roasters moved in across the street.

JR,

I know....I was just making a wise crack of my own. I'm guessing the ribbon boards will make for an awesome "night light" when they turn off the main lights for opening night.

I'm sure these ribbon boards can/will be just as easily ignored as those down at Lucas Oil. I mean, who pays attention to the dragsters that zip around the ribbon boards down in Indy during each play stoppage?? Granted, that is a much larger venue, but after the buzz of it being new wears off, I don't think those who go to a lot of games will pay much attention to it. It's kind of like the ribbon boards around the top and bottom of the scoreboard. It was cool when I first saw it, but I don't pay too much attention to it saying "Mountain Dew" or "Pepsi" all night long, spinning around clockwise... Oh wait... IT WORKED AND I DIDN'T EVEN REALIZE IT!!!!!!!
