Does anyone know if Bicek from the icemen is under contract with them. He would be a great sign, love the way that kid plays. Also if Lardner is not retiring he should be signed immediately. Thanks in advance..

So far, it feels like the Komets are being left in the dust. Keep seeing great signings for our competitors. Sure hope we are not waiting on the camp in August to do serious negotiations with prospects. Would like the Komet public relations reps to release some tidbit of information to at least let us know that there are things in the works. It is just too quiet.

Last year we had like 18 guys signed before most teams had ten signed, and look how that turned out. I think this season it's a buyer's market and the teams can actually afford to be extremely selective on who they go after. Do the due diligence so you don't bring in bad apples, like there were last season....

I checked this blog on Friday and leave town for 4 days and come back today and still no signing announcements. But continue to see Evansville and Dayton load up. Come on Franke give your loyal and hardcore fans something. So far its Chaulk and Drouin. The only announcements have been Patrosso and Dupuis retiring. At least announce a couple of returning players from last years team besides 91 and 71. The season opener is only 3 and a half months away. lol

I've given up on any Komet annoucements regarding player signings until after Christmas. After all, we have learned that the season doesn't really begin until then anyway.
I believe the Komets started out last season with a 5-15-1 record. If they hadn't signed anybody and just forfeited the first 21 games of the season, they would have only lost 11 points in the standings.
( note to Andy Sherman: no need to comment about baseless posts. I'm just being sarcastic. )
