Tailing the Komets

A few notes

Sean O'Connor is this year's Justin Hodgman... Jake Pence played fantastic tonight... How good was Danko Mironivic?... Colin Chaulk won 75 percent of his faceoffs... Komets won the scoring chances 30-20... Komets' speed killed Kalamazoo's defense... With the exception of Hodgman's misconduct penalty for shooting the puck at Stayzer's stick and knocking it away as the Wing tried to pick it up, the Komets kept their cool... It was fun watching Al Sims and Nick Bootland try to match-up lines... How about Mathieu Curadeau's atempt to draw a high sticking penalty on Kalamazoo's Jordan Little. Is that called doing "A Detulleo?" ... Komets have given up the first goal the last three games and five of the last seven... Boucher was better than Martin and both were exceptional... This game showed exactly how much the Komets' defense has improved this season.

How about how the ref made two calls in the first three mins of the second? I wonder what happened to influence him....

I'll get killed for this, but I thought they were three legitimate calls. So did most of the guys in the locker room.

If that's true, then I'll apologize to him.

I wish they'd call some diving penalties in one game and then we wouldn't have to worry about it any more.

I to though Hoberg did a good job the only call that was bush was the 10 min misconduct given to Stayzer and Hodgman. I am going to give a shout out to a Brad MacMillan who didn't get much ice time but he sure did make the most of it he hit the crossbar on his first shot and GOT TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF MARTIN and got a goal. He took Hodgman's place and that line did not miss a beat.

Blake, I was talking about how the Komets got called for everything in the first. Then a certin few guys, that were waiting to go out on the ice for an un-said event, gave Hoberg a peice of their mind while he was coming off the ice.

I know it never changes anything when someone yells at the ref, but two calls in less than three mins.? Something must have worked...

No more ripple before the game, the ref needs to put his whistle in his pocket

Me and Hoss gave Hoberg a little ear candy followed by Paul the Zamboni Guy giving him a tongue lashing....and I agree, I think it worked.

O'Connor played like a guy who wants to play in the NHL someday. He was by far the best player on the ice, his speed blew everyone on the ice away, and the guy was laying some brutal hits on people, he had one open-ice hit that was classic, wish someone had it on tape somewhere.

MacMillan was awesome, he had 4 scoring chances that all should have been goals, and he was going to the net. He made a huge difference in the game everytime on the ice. He threw his body around, and played great.

It was a very fun game. There is nothing better than playoff intensity.

They will probably lock the door....but if it is open....I'm down. What will be funny is if the ref is actually Hawthorne and I give him the famous "Hawthorne you suck" slam and he looks up....and it is actually Hawthorne.....maybe I should call him Hoberg?

Making the trip to K-Zoo tonight....Hit Somebody and Posse will be sitting in section 15....front row behind the net....come and say hi!!!
