No matter who shows up on the transactions page now, Komets General Manager David Franke isn't guaranteeing anyone a roster spot.
``We're going to have more good kids in training camp so there will be genuine competition for jobs this year,'' Franke said. ``Just because you have signed, there are going to be people looking for your job so you have to be ready to go. That makes for competition in training camp and brings out the best in everybody.''
The one thing we have to have is scoring on all three lines. We can't get it done with two line scoring and a checking line. Everybody has to chip in whether in a big way or a litle way. When we've been successful in the past, we've had offense from all three lines.''

I actually won't be opposed to the addition of Bonneau because aside from being a "goon", he can actually play his position in the defensive zone which is why he actually saw the ice in the playoffs last year. He offers ZERO from an offensive standpoint though.
Watching tee ball tonight I saw some future Komets. Everytime the ball was hit you saw 4-6 kids hip check each other in an attempt to get the ball. Awesome stuff!

Lots of people say and print things they believe will come true. Lots of times they don't happen. For instance, I went back to the Komet preview section for last year's team. Lots of optimism and bold predictions. Those things didn't happen. Of course, hindsight is always 20-20.
Mightbite can drive me crazy sometimes, but his signing predictions have been pretty accurate. I probably wouldn't criticize him too much.
