Game 5

There are players that have a lot of heart. Those are the players who play hurt, play the whole game, play to win every day, play for the fans and their teammates, aka. LKS and a few others.

There are also players who don't. Those are the ones I would like to see gone next year.

I don't mind a team losing who shows up to games. That has been my grip this year. I show up for the game. The least you can do is show up for the game.

I want a whole team of heart next year!

According to the RC announcers Wray didn't deserve a penalty, he was just trying to keep LeBlanc from getting into trouble and got unjustly called as 3rd. man in...... Wow......

Steve, I actually agree with them... He got in there at the beginning (as any team mate would in a scrum); but then scooted out once it escalated....IMO...

Bad penalty by Patrosso...cant lasso a guy off the faceoff like that...geez...

Same stale players will tune out the coach after a few years. That is why it is time to change.
Hit you asked where you are going to find a new roster? How many of the Texas teams are leaving? How many other teams at other levels will fold?
It isn't about whether these guys are good players or not. It is about whether they are still hungry or feel they have anything left to accomplish in Fort Wayne.

I'll settle for a couple of years of rebuilding rather than trying to continue to recycle the same comfortable roster.

Can we wait till the body is cold before we move on to next years team???

As far as Sims goes, he HAS something to prove. He was lazy last summer. He (and management ) thought they could bring the same dance partners to a new party and have the same results.
This year showed that wasn't the case. I believe management and Sims have learned from this.

Scooter I may be wrong but contracts are not normally guaranteed at this level. I think they could waive him without having to pay his full salary.

I do appreciate the players who played their career in FW, and the players that are a couple seasons into their career in FW.

Those players spending so many years and games in FW does make K hockey more fun.

well, bob just said he will be w/ the komets another year for the 60th anniversary season. :/ Everyone had their heyday, but he is just frustrating when trying to listen to a game.

I'm proud of our guys no matter what. One game does not make the season and no one in the league, and most of our "fans", thought we even had a chance to win one game in the playoffs. Great show of heart!!!

I think he'd do fine, breslyn. Lardner was pretty solid until the playoffs and he was IHL.

I agree RK.... I'd take a guy who put up 99 points this season (as long as we see a big roster make over)....

Tim Hoke helped me get my start in Komet Hockey as a Fan and did not even know it.....LOL

Watching the game of the week as an out-of-town College Student new to FW and The Komets, and then going to as many games as I could and eventually becoming a season ticket holder and Idiot Moran Blogger.....Tim has alot to do with that as I look back on things.

I will miss Tim's entertaining calls of games. You have done an excellent job. Always have loved listening to your call of the game and your perspective of everything on and off the ice for the Komets.

Watching the game tonight was like watching the video version of the coliseum ice...My head still hurts from ads every 3 seconds, randomly popping up during game play, stupid graphics during play, etc etc...If you want to do that between whistles, cool...During play? not so much...WAIT FOR A WHISTLE!

The ads were just ridiculous... and I still can't get the sound of those stupid cowbells out of my head. So glad they don't let you bring those to games here. The promotional thunderstix are bad enough...
