The Komets were scheduled to play four games in four nights from Feb. 18-21, which is not allowed under the collective bargaining agreement. Instead, they are moving the Feb. 21 game at Bloomington to Tuesday, Feb. 2 at Bloomington. It actually would have been five games in six nights under the previous scheduling.

Odd that they didnt notice this violation when they were making the schedule....
Except that at the time the CBA had not been agreed to.
So, this wasnt something that carried over from the old CBA?
The CHL was very careful over the summer not to use anything from the previous CBA as law. They lectured reporters a few times not to consider that as guidelines or whatever because it could all change. Common sense says it should have been considered, but obviously it was not so now they have to make the change.
We should know by now that common sense is something that these leagues NEVER consider...LOL
It was in the last CHL CBA so this was probably a case of the owners/CHL trying to sneak one past the players
I think it's another example of the Frankes controlling the CHL, yeah, no doubt about it............
Here are some more interesting numbers to consider.
In the Komets last 9 games, the team that had the most SOGs wound up losing the game. Prior to that, the team with the most SOGs won 14 of 25 (plus one instance of a tie).
Excluding games that came down to a shootout, the Komets' opponents have scored the game winning goal on a power play in 7 of 14 games. However, in games the K's have won, 5 of 7 game winners were scored thanks to special teams (1 was shorthanded).
Of the Komets 36 games thus far, 19 have been 1 goal games. 4 came down to shootouts, of which the K's won 2. But in games that ended in regulation or overtime, the Komets won have won only 4 of 15. In the 4 wins, the Komets scored the game winning goal twice before the end of the 2nd period. The Komets have not won in overtime this season. Meanwhile the K's opponents have scored the game winner in the 3rd period 8 of 11 times with the other 3 tallies coming in overtime.
Sorry. That should have read that the Komets have had game winners thanks to special teams 5 of 11 times. So never mind. I had the wrong number there. :S
Here's something I noticed to make up for it... The Komets have only won one 1-goal game that didn't end in a shootout since the end of November.
K's opponents PP winners should have been 7 of 21. So just to clarify:
