Looks like Kevin Bertram didn't come back out to start the second period. He left with 3:30 left in the first after grabbing his right hamstring. After starting the game at forward, Blair Stayzer is playing defense next to Keith Rodger.
Matt Syroczynski just scored for the Komets, driving the net to shove home a Guy Dupuis rebound at 5:31 of the second. 2-1 Gems.
Back up to 3-1 after essentially another 5-on-3 goal. Lack of discipline or a dive? What did those of you in attendance think? The penalties have really slowed ht eKomets down.
Looks like Vaskivuo is now wearing No. 55 and not 16, so that's a good thing.

Komets have looked like they are a half-step out of position all night in the offensive zone. And the Gems are frankly beating them to the spots.
