My favorite paraphrased line from all the national talking head this week is basically this: "The Colts are getting all the media coverage and this will motivate the Saints to win....." Funny thing is, everytime I have had the radio or tv on a Sports program, this is the cry, and then they spend 75% of their time telling us why the Saints are better than the Colts. The Saints defense is incredible.....The Colts defense is terrible and can't possibly stop all of the Saints weapons.....so on and so forth. Plus, 75% of the national media and talking heads are all in love with the Saints and are picking them to win.
Not that any of this matters to me at all, it is just an observation that I had, and on one hand they say the spotlight is on the Colts....I disagree, other than Freeney's injury which has been over-dramatized, the Saints have gotten most of the media hype......
The Colts this entire season and entire playoff season have been told they can't win, they aren't good enough, blah blah blah.........Keyshown Johnson and his "they are the worst undefeated team in the history of sports" and now "the worst team in the super bowl"..........
Let's just say, today is another chance for the Colts to prove the haters and doubters wrong. If they win, what will they say??? Probably, they will say, Peyton needs to win 4 more super bowls to be considered a great QB.....LOL

colts once again have been pretty classy and been kinda quiet. most coverage has been on the saints in my opinion with everyone moaning about the city and katrina and how they have overcome ect so the colts will just go about their business and whoever the better team is today will win and its got nothing to do with class or katrina.
Sitting in the recliner, Blue Foo Foo in hand, world championship hat on, hot dogs in the little hot dog Gizmo and yes I checked the cable bill is paid so they won't be shutting it off during the game.
Sitting on the sofa with the Mrs./ BEER in hand/Freeney blue jersey on & Mrs. with Manning blue jersey /Colts jersey cards on the coffee table/BEER in cooler/ all is cool

I was glad to see the Saints win. For a Super Bowl it was a pretty good game, I was actually able to sit and watch the whole thing.
I think the Super Bowl should be a series, best of seven might be a bit much but maybe three out of five or tow out of three......
All those wins, all that travel time, all that time wasted watching the season and what do I get. Nothing but the title first Loser!

Not a problem, Blake. I did deserve it. Feeling good for the Saints, their fans, and their city. Feeling poorly for all my friends who are Colts fans. Being a fan of the team that loses the Super Bowl is a pretty hollow feeling. You know your team had to have a great season just to get there, but that gets lost in the defeat. I know, I'm a Bengals fan. They've lost the Super Bowl twice and both games were very close.
