Tailing the Komets

Good luck, Chaulker

Colin and Jillian and the girls leave Fort Wayne tomorrow for Toronto on their way to Italy.

Thanks for everything you did on and off the ice for so many, Colin. You are a great player to watch, an even better coach and example for everyone of every age level, and most importantly a great father and friend. You guys will always be a part of Fort Wayne because, basically, we're not giving you up. God bless and take care.

Thunk, thunk, thunk, thunk. Sound of the blade of a stick hitting the ice in a salute to Colin. May good luck, good health, and success be your companions.

Hey, folks, not sure how much Colin looks at the blogs. He will be here at our place next Saturday. I will be sure to show him your posts and best wishes.
Alan, if you didn't see my reply on the Dupuis string, I do plan to get down to the Fort next year. I have made some good friends and will look forward to trading war stories during the season to come.

All the best to Colin and his family! Thank you for all the wonderful memories and great times! I think I speak for many in that you are one of the best Komets in any era and we will see the #91 raised to the rafters in the Coliseum. Hopefully we will get to see you around in a Komets uniform one more time later down the road....

As the Chaulk family leaves Fort Wayne today to start a new chapter in their lives, I would like to offer my sincerest wishes for a bright, healthy, and happy future.

Rarely do we get the priviledge and the opportunity to observe a player who brings so much to the community, the locker room, and to the ice.

Colin Chaulk is a player that, when on the ice, makes every player around him better. I can't think of a greater compliment for a hockey player than that.

Good luck in Italy.

Colin, we know that Toronto is your hometown. I think I can safely say that all of us would like for you to think of Fort Wayne as your "home".

When the time is right, come back "home".

To Mike in Toronto. Thanks for the "heads up" on your next visit to Fort Wayne. Let us know when it will be, OK?

Thanks for all your work with youth hockey teams. Many don't know that Colin is responsible for helping elevate many house players to travel by his excellent instruction and skating skills. He is a true gentleman who will truly be missed. Don't worry Colin I am still making my son do the cross overs backwards and forwards everytime we go to the rink. I hope you can take over the Komets one day and link them even more with youth hockey.
