Guy is certainly a gift to this city. He plays his heart out every game. He always give 110 percent. He may get beat once and a while but doesn't every D Man? I also have first hand experience with Guy helping young people. My son has been enrolled in many of Guy's hockey classes Monday nights at the MAC. He is a great family man but he is also such a good person as well. He exemplifies the class that the Franke's want the Komets to stand for. I really get sick and tired of fans bad mouthing him in the stands and in the blogs. I know he doesn't read the blogs like some of the younger players do but I'm sure the mean spirited remarks of some fans still get to him. I just wish many of the fans could have just half of the class Guy has on a daily basis and maybe I could say the same about the fan base as I am writing about Guy.

Way to go, Guy! In a few years they will be raising another banner at the Coliseum to commemorate # 2 and all his accomplishments. Then Blake will have to write another book!

Headline might has well of read: Reason's to retire #2. Totally agree with Teresa. Guy's jersey should definitely be retired when he hangs 'em up.

Not only is Guy a class individual off the ice he may very well be one of the classiest on the ice. He is what I like to refer to a a "True Komet". He has taken some heat from some people for shooting. If those bloggers would listen to the coach on the bench yelling and yes screaming "Shoot the ****ing puck"! They would know why he is shooting. If the other guys will not, the "Captain" leads by example. There have been many Komet Captains. They have all been really nice guys to deal with but Guy is just maybe the politest, gentelman to every ask for anything. There is no question when he finally decide to hang up his skates #2 will go up in the raffters. Poor Blake will have to add a chapter or better yet write another book. Blake, you and I both know there is more than enough material to write another book. Sign me up for the first copy.

LOL. Right now there's not enough energy left to write another book. Plus, Teresa said she's out of money. Give me a year or so to finish the novel and then we'll see.
I have no doubt Guy's banner will be raised within five years after he retires. No one else will ever wear No. 2 for the Ks.
