My parents told me about the hockey clinic, they attended and then started going to games, getting season tickets if not the first then by the second year. Of course, as a young kid, I was taken to a lot of those games.
Just this last Saturday I was telling a friend about the "old days", no glass, chain link fence at the ends (which my father would climb up on and shake and yell at the refs), no Zamboni, and after a game jumping the boards to get onto the ice. A different kind of skate with the Komets. And a whole new topic could be started about the differences in equipment.
