He said he does have some other options, but he's continuing to talk with the Komets. He also said he's not sure where the Italy rumors started.

After last year, he'd be crazy to not try to get the best deal possible, and I'm pretty sure he hopes that's in Fort Wayne. Somebody could always come in and wow him with a deal he can't afford to turn down.

I saw the Belfast Hooligans one time, we were there on a visit to the Bangor Bandits. Just about didn't make it back, something about the "Free Ireland Now!" T-shirt I was wearing.

Id like to see the Komets bring back Ratchuk .. thats if he doesnt catch on with an AHL team. What are the chances he returns?

Franke was quoted in several places saying 4-6 players would return from last years team......

4) Cescon
5) Schrock
6) Frankie?

Will these be the 4-6 he was spaeking of?

I also read they are still interested in Molle....Mele....Apod?

I read that Ratchuk returns to the Komets most likely....that is if he doesn't make an AHL team. JC reported it today.

Franke gave info that there might be at least 8 returning players from last years team. Maybe even more.

The way I see it...they are currently needing to fill 2 spots on the topline....2 spots on the 2nd line....Another point man on the powerplay....and some good old toughness on the blue line.

Franke still saying no returning player has a spot locked up....and 35 guys will be in camp.

Can't wait for the puck to drop so we can see how this thing shapes up.

I know....it is only July 12th.

Alright thanks for that update on Ratchuk.. i just thought that he played well for us in the playoffs and would be even better with a full season with us. His Speed and puck carrying would help the PP a ton. Makes it so much easier to set up your powerplay when you have a guy that skate and carry the puck into the zone.

And now you understand why those chances aren't that great.

When I read that comment, it made me wonder about Komet information. Blake, do the Komets have set times when they will make player announcements? For example, do they always have a specific time...say 10am or 3pm for example?

Do they alert the press via e-mail, other electronic means, phone, or do they have press conferences to which you are invited? Just curious.

Komets had very little to do with the ex-Mudbugs story, which is what that hint was referrng to. I went out and found that one on my own.

They don't have press conferences, they just send out press releases. Almost always, they release those on a Tuesday, Wednesday or a Thursday, rarely on a Monday and never on a Friday because they want bigger bang for their announcement. Usually they are around Noon.

What is this? "Pond of Dreams"? If you build the rink, they will come. Lol.
