I know many of you don't, but I personally love the new jerseys. They are so cool to see in person, and George was beaming when we took the picture. I always disliked the white shoulder boards on the black road jersey, but I really liked the black shoulder boards on orange jersey. Just my opinion.
I hope to be able to blog during the game, but I can't promise. Rockford has a small press box and it's sometimes difficult to work on. Too bad because the IceHogs have a really class act in Mike Peck for PR and broadcasting.
No, I don't know anything yet about the guys who got the flu.

I can not wait till game time. Blake, how long did it take you to get there ? Lets go Komets, Cook some bacon. I also think the new jersey's are very cool. Now lets just the hope the K's dont just look cool but play good hockey.
Sorry,IMO those jerseys are ugly, but I am a traditionalist.
Took about five hours. Opening faceoff is at 8:30 p.m. Fort Wayne time, not 8 p.m. as we were informed before. Rockford changed its start times on Friday nights.

I like the new road jersey. It does a nice job combining the best features of the familiar logo with the new flames on the sleeves....the mono color without the contrasting shoulder board area gives it a much more streamlined appearance. Nice Unis! Blake, I think you should have a nice fat, juicy BACON Cheeseburger before you leave the rink 2nite!
Peck is good but the guy who partnered with him last year was brutal.
Richardson and Goneau out for warmups, Miller, Gabrielsen, Besner and Gascon are not.

Richardson drop pass to Larocque on a 2 on 1, long blast, and Goneau following up the play with wrist shot from just inside the blue line. Frenchy has been amazing so far, shots are 12-7 IceHogs. Game has really settled down. Not all that physical.

Shots 17-10 Rockford. Frenchy is controlling his rebounds. Nobody looks too bad so far. Big Snake lined up Kiyaga for a big hit, but Kiyaga zoomed ahead of him and made the play to start the Komets' last scoring chance.
Hansen's stick got shoved from behind as he was carrying the puck.
I'm sitting right next to Bob, and I can tell you he hasn't missed a play so far tonight. He's amazing.
Burgee, Adam Fish is one of the highest rated officials in the UHL, and an Indiana native (from the South Bend area) He is a guy I would be surprised if he did not move on to bigger and better things.
