I know many of you don't, but I personally love the new jerseys. They are so cool to see in person, and George was beaming when we took the picture. I always disliked the white shoulder boards on the black road jersey, but I really liked the black shoulder boards on orange jersey. Just my opinion.
I hope to be able to blog during the game, but I can't promise. Rockford has a small press box and it's sometimes difficult to work on. Too bad because the IceHogs have a really class act in Mike Peck for PR and broadcasting.
No, I don't know anything yet about the guys who got the flu.

It's so great to hear Bob Chase again. The best in the business without a doubt. Richard isn't going for another term as mayor, how about Chaser goes for it?? He'd get my vote!

Lots going on at the end of the period. Domber long wrist shot that Ruid deflected in. Larocque long wrist shot that the goalie stopped, it trickled through him and stopped just behind him, and when he fell back he knocked it in. Shots 32-32. 20 shots for Ks in the period.
Kiyaga set up Rockford's second goal with a long center-ice pass. Hansen had to take a penalty. Frenchy then made the first save, but Hukalo fell into him and stopped him from getting to the second shot.
The interesting thing to me is how the Komets have responded very time Rockford has made a play. Crowd has about 10 seconds to cheer and then they sit down when the Komets do something.
