Tailing the Komets

Henley has been called up

To Springfield of the AHL for the weekend. They are not going to make the playoffs and want to take a look at him. He'll be back Monday.

The Komets are also looking at a rookie defenseman and will find out within the next two days if he's coming or not.

Kalamazoo has also just fired coach Brian Curran. GM Wade Welsh will be the interim coach.

With Dupuis, Bertram, Pence, Durdin, Warner, Hanson, & Henley on the blue line, I do not see a point in bringing in a college kid. Unless one of the above is injured and will miss this week's games with Henley, than I agree with the move.

Doesn't matter, they're going to do it anyway. The Komets will have to release two players off their roster on Monday to get down to the league limit of 19 and two amateur players. That's a rule that really stinks.

Good By Curran. They should have fired him a long time ago. To be more to the point they should have never hired him. I have never really liked him.

Nothing but the best for Henley. I hope he looks "Great". It is always good to have a player called up. It does several things. 1. It lets player know no one here will hold tham back. 2. Co-operation with other teams is just good common sense.

Legault and Shirokov would be my guess. We are over loaded on D-Men and there is little to no fighting in the playoffs.
