Henley's skates came in

They came in today so he'll be trying to break them in as quickly as possible. In fact, he's planning on wearing them in Friday's game.

Henley wears a custom-made skate that has four unique areas of extra support. The Komets ordered the wrong pair first, sent them back and then had to order the new pair direct from the skate factory.

``I'm very happy,'' Henley said. ``I'm going to wear them immediately. Mine were wearing down so they had no support, and I had to keep tying them tighter and tighter which led to a lot of pain. It obviously limits you. There's something to be said in the amount of push off you lose because the boot gives way and it doesn't transfer right to the blade.''

The new skates won't feel perfect for about a week, he said, but they'll still be better than what he's been playing with. 

I can't imagine how difficult it must have been to try to fight while wearing skates with no support.
