This guy has always been terriable period. Syro should have 5 goals..he has hit the post what 3 times already. Doesn't appear to be a very physical game either, but watching on B2 it can be hard to tell

Right on Superfan, but you forgot to name a good ref

As a matter of fact, Blog foul, Blake Sebring, breaking your own rule, you must go to box with Schebig, 5 red headed hockey chicks, dog biscuits, wendys cookie of the day, feel shame and watch me across the ice enjoying my foo foo.

Mitch Woods is just as selfish now as he was when he left. Way to give away a 4 min PP.. unacceptable.

Whats up with the redheads big red hat?

Im just wondering JM did you notice the blood that mitch had on his face? Are you telling me your not gonna try to get your point across to a ref that isnt callin anything right. I would have done what mitch had done. He wasnt even screaming at the ref i dont believe. So when someone else gets a penalty, i hope your on here tellin everyone how unacceptable it is for them to get a penalty, no matter if it is a 2min, or a 4 min for yellin at the ref. Would you have said the same thing about Shaf, or Chaulk. Give the guy a break, it was the refs fault!!!

Blake Sebring

Scooter, he's got to be smarter than that at that time of the game. It sucks, but he really does have to keep his mouth shut and eat it at that point. It's part of the game.

Some things never change: Woods still runs his mouth no matter what is going on in the game and Varone still lives in the negatives on the stat sheet.

wow..I thought we won the game. Dang..Someone gave me wrong directions to the Coliseum. Shoot,I wonder what game I was watching. The Komets must have lost with all this negative nellie stuff going on in here. Nw on the lead subject. Someone had to say something. I'm with Scooter on this. Croft was lousy tonight and he had to know someone was gonna call him on this BS. I had no worries about giving up a 4 minute PP. I have faith in our boys to pull this out if the PT scored to tie the game. GO #17 and GO KOMETS!!!

Wow. How quickly they turn. I see what you're saying, though. I can hear Yoda now... "Control! Control! You must learn control!"

As for the big, red hat, it was a silly hat day. What, you didn't get the memo? That is, last home game before Valentine's Day=silly hat. Why a cowboy hat? Because I like the song "Legend of a Cowgirl" and it went well with my "Love Stinks" button. It was either that or seeing if I could still squeeze into my Chinese dress.

Every penalty Ian called was in fact a penalty. I was more upset about the one's he didn't call. Woods earned his second penalty. I am sure Ian's mother is none of the things Woods called her. Wendy, I liked the red hat. Everyone knew just who you were. I thought Warner played a "Great" game. 3 assists and great D without a stick. Syro needs to shoot more 4 shots and 3 goals, not to bad.

Croft warned Woods at least twice. Yeah, he had a little blood... Croft missed it, it happens. You can't put the team at a 4 min disadvantge because you can't control yourself.

Chad
Thu, 02/11/2010 - 9:33am

Okay lets quit crying about Wood's penalty. We won the game. You act as if no one on this team has ever ran thier mouth and put the team in a bind. We won the game. It's happened many times in the past. We won the game. And it will happen many times in the future.

And oh by the way..........WE WON THE GAME!!!

Mitch Woods is another in a long line of fan overhyped Komets. Just like D.A.B. and several others who have either made return trips or that fans were crying for a return you forget about all of the things they did that were detrimental to the team. D.A.B. never backchecked past center ice, Woods never shuts up, Simchuk could make a great point blank save and then let in a goal from near center ice a minute later, the sun will come out tomorrow.

I'm not hammering on Woods, although I still don't think he's the savior some of the people on here think he is for one reason or another, I was simply saying it was a stupid move. Yes, we still won the game and it was great seeing some offensive production, but if he continues his habit of running his mouth when the Komets are against a team that is playing well, it's going to bite the team. And yes, everyone clapped for him and cheered when he said whatever Dschebig heard him say about the ref's mother, but yelling at the ref didn't really accomplish anything that I noticed afterward. The refs still didn't call things and the Komets still won. Was your man Mitch's tirade really necessary?

I'm not sure I like Wednesday night games any more than I like Sunday afternoon games....which team are we watching? The team loses to Dayton at home, beats Port Huron 9-1, loses to Quad City on the road, beats Bloomington 6-2 at home......somebody never received attention as a youngster, and now craves it.....Mitch Woods, after initially mouthing off to the official should have turned away and went to the box. His persistance of squawking at the ref only got him another two minutes and hurt the team. Maybe the next time he does that it will be in a game where the extra penalty would affect the outcome.....Warner got three assists last night but was a plus-1. He made a nice diving stop (he had lost his stick) but if I remember right, he was beaten twice and one resulted in a Bloomington goal. Ya' know, I'm almost thinking that it might be best to play him up front all the time and only on the backside when the manpower situation demands it. I haven't thought it out all the way through, but I'm leaning in that direction.....what is the status on Hukalo? He has been in and out of the lineup with various injuries all year. Maybe it is time to shut him down for the rest of the year, let him heal his back and his shoulder completely, and then go after a veteran sniper. Maybe Staffaucher, maybe someone else.....I'm not sure if I'm looking forward to that Evansville-Battle Creek game or not. Don't know what to expect....Oh yes, before I finish. Mr Snufflupugus, you may be correct that D.A.B. didn't play the backcheck as well as he could have, but he wasn't afraid to get in front of the net, take the punishment, and score about forty goals a season....after reading the above posts it seems that everyone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.

I had a long discussion with one of the players about Woods because I wasn't sold on him coming back either. He said they were looking for more physical play. I think he does, along with Mac bring that to the table and maybe that's what is needed right now. Someone to crash the net eh.

Chad

The point is, the Komets could win 20-1 and some of you will find something negative to talk about from the game. How bout we talk about how well Haun played or Macmillan performance tonite as apposed to worrying about woods stupid penalty that had no affect on the game.

Okay, here's my two cents. Woods is who he is because he plays with so much passion. He pushes the envelope. It's like Avery. You have to take the good with the bad. He can be very effective when he puts that passion to good use. But sometimes he's going to slip up and make mistakes, too. We all do. Hopefully he'll learn from his missteps, but I don't think you can come down too hard on him because it will also hamper the things he does well. Let Mitch be Mitch, just maybe encourage him to put that passion to better use.

I liked your hat, Wendy! I guess the only things I can complain about from last night was getting hit in the head by one of those squishy lightbulbs and having to drive in freezing rain.
It'll be interesting to see Larocque again, there's a name I haven't heard in a while. Wonder if he's found any motivation playing in Europe? :p
