Tailing the Komets

Hodgy says: I'm coming home!

First off, Toronto did send a couple of players to Reading this morning, and he said if they had sent him there, he'd have gone with no qualms.

``I didn't think about it until we were mathematically eliminated, which was last Monday, and then we started looking at options,'' he said. ``I didn't even think it was going to be a real possibility because my commitment was to Toronto, but I knew eventually I would be coming back to Fort Wayne after the season ended to be with my family.''

``I'm in great shape. When I was sent to the AHL, it was kind of an eye-opener with the pace, but after a couple of weeks, I got used to it. I'm 100 percent. I feel like I've been playing great, and I've been getting a lot of good feedback from the coaches.''

He's also signing with Toronto for next year on a one-wa

So does this mean he will sign?

LGKomets, my thinking would be that everything is either signed and has been sent to the league office for approval, or everything has been worked out verbally for signatures. It doesn't take long to fax a contract back and forth.

Good question, but it sure sounds like he is a Komet.

I saw that Toronto assigned him to Fort Wayne today so yes LG he will be here to play the rest of the year and the playoffs. I believe the IHL will have to approve the assignment but otherwise he is as good as in the lineup

Who approved him in the IHL?

Did David fax something over to Michael in the next room?

Totally joking. But you have to admit it is funny.

The Komets are now loaded and the favorite to win in my book....if Tim Haun is healthy and ready to go. I think he is the wild-card here. If Nick has to play every game from here on out.....he will meltdown and go crazy and that scares me.

I like Tim at home.....Bouch on the road.

Otherwise

Chaulk, Syro, Hodgy
Leo, PC, OC
Chewy, Huk, Schrocky
Mac and Warner(extra D or F)

That's pretty funny, Breslyn. There have been a few of those over the years.

OT: KWings just got beat in game 5 in their series with Reading. Maybe next year. They had a great season.

Hodgy is a legitimate AHL player that is going to be on an exclusive one-way contract next season and might get a sniff at the NHL. He is that good. Plus the kid flat out played both playoffs seasons for us, balls to the walls.

Comparing him to Woods is like comparing Lobster to a Rally-Burger.

It is ok if you don't like him, but come on JM, those 2 guys are in different leagues as players. Worshipped or not.

You know?

I've never disputed Hodgman's talent.

That's cool then. You have the right not to like him for whatever reason. Not my place to say either way really. Just wanted to make sure you weren't comparing Woods to Hodgman in hockey talent or sense.

He will make us better though. He is a stud.
