OK, since everybody seems to have had their say on the Worlton trade, how about a new topic? We were talking about this in the newsroom yesterday while commenting on the death of Paul Tantardini. Who is the most-hated opposing player in Komets' history? Whose the guy past and present that you love to hate? Who can't you stand now or in the past but you'd love to see in a Komets' sweater? While we're at it, who do you think was like that to opponents while playing for the Komets?
I'm sure a lot of you will say Jim Duhart, but I think Jim is great for hockey, the UHL and the Komets. I love the way Jim has FUN during a game. Isn't that what we're all there for anyway? Hockey desperately needs more guys like that. It desperately needs more personalities. Jim doesn't seem to take himself too seriously, but you definitely know he's having a good time out there. God bless you, Jim.
Tell me what you think.

Some of my favorites to hate were John Flesch & Boris Fistric.
I would like to add three more names to the players Fort Wayne fans loved to hate. In the UHL, Jason Lawmaster of Muskegon. Jaw, jaw, jaw then cheapshot is his modus operandi.
From the IHL days, Enrico Ciccone and Larry DePalma from Kalamazoo. Does anyone remember DePalma sucker-punching Robin Bawa in the 91' playoffs at the center ice face-off after a Komet goal put the Komets into the next round of the playoffs? Big-time weasel.
Josh Elzinga
Has anybody mentioned bubble-gum boy, Brian Noonan?
Warren Rychel. I always thought he'd be a superstar as a Komet. Don't forget Jeff Ricciardi.
Pat and Carl right on, i forgot there were two i couldn't stand. Besides that i still hate muskegon, whatever their nickname may be.
The bastards of hockey!
Kevin Kerr: Flint
Andy Bezeau: Muskegon, Vipers
Enrico Ciconne: Kalamazoo
Bruce Ramsey: Thunderbay
Mel Angelstad: Thunderbay (hated this team)
Robbie Nichols: Biggest A-hole coach!!
Ahhh the good ole days! Gotta love um...
Toledo Ft Wayne Rivalry,
I'am an old time Toledo Hockey Fan. I loved our rivalry and consider Ft Wayne and Toledo the best of the old IHL. Ft Wayne had many great players thru the years, Long, DuBscheck, Rivard, Thoranson, Ablett, Adamson, Irons, Laird and so many more. Just wondering. Did people in Ft Wayner ever want Ted Garvin to come there and coach? I knew him when he coached here in Toledo, and he was one of a kind. He was very popular here and am sure he would have been very popular in Ft Wayne.
Saw Willie Trognitz when he played for the Fort Worth Texans around 79 or 80. As sooon as he would step on the ice in a matter of seconds the whistle would blow and off would go Willie. The guy never got a chance.
ok top 5 fighters from the 1987

2.Derek Graham
3.Willie Plett
4.Marty McSorely
5.Rick Vive

Man I used to hate Lorne Weighthill when he plaued for Dayton. Remember one shift when he was carruing the puck from corner to corner, Tudor checked him in one corner, Zanussi hit him beside the net (knocking his off balance even more) Tudor got up and nailed him in the other corner knocking him down. Now you don't see three such hits in a game.
WOW, he played 13 seasons in the IHL.
Willie Trognitz, wow that goes back. Banned for whacking a guy in the head if I remember right. He played in Toledo also in the 70's. Rough place to play. Last I heard he had some disease that was not doing well.
